Undercar lighting...

    One of the modifications I've had added to my Clarity is undercar lighting. I've had one amber LED lighting strip added under the doors on each side of the car. I chose amber because I added these lights for extra visibility, and amber is the color of marker lights that you most often see on the sides of vehicles.

    The photos below show the result, but the lights are not as bright as they appear in these photos. In the photos, it looks like the lights cast a rather defined oval-shaped light on the ground, but, in reality, it's more of an even, muted glow. I'm fine with that because I wouldn't want them to be that bright. These are basic lighting strips. The don't shift color and aren't controlled by an app (they're controlled by a simple switch).

    Undercar lighting is legal in California as long as it meets certain requirements (the lights can't flash, they can't be too bright and there are some restrictions as to color).

  5. Hmmm, bit of a hike. I've considered doing it myself, but She Who Must be Obeyed is not going to be thrilled if I decide to. She won't be surprised though.
