I don't have a cellphone but I do have an android Ipad. Can I use it like other people use their Iphones on their Kona's to pre heat etc...If so I need some hints on doing that

  3. As long as your tablet has an internet connection you should be good.

There is a "BlueLink" app that you should find in the Android play store. Expect to be disappointed, in that it can be kind of slow and sometimes it appears to not work. But for turning on the climate, it will eventually do the job.

Once you get the app installed, you will need to add the vehicle - if you just bought the car, it might take a day or two for the dealer to set things up for you. You will need the VIN for this.

Then select the "Remote Start" button on the main screen. Which is a little counter-intuitive, but that's where you find the stuff to turn on the climate.

No bluetooth. The tablet needs WiFi to connect to the BlueLink servers. The app doesn't connect directly to the car - it goes through Hyundai servers. This is generally the really slow part.

Yes, you need the app. I am not sure what you get by pairing the tablet to the car, but it wasn't needed for BlueLink to work. If you think about it, you might want to turn on the climate when you are well outside the bluetooth range of the car.

Few tablets have LTE connections, and if this is the case the mobile app shouldn't even show up in the store.
