Hello everyone I originally ordered my Kona on may 3rd 2019. I only got hold of my Kona on the 26th of October 2019.

As we know originally British-Columbia had a $5000.00 EV Rebate that got changed to $3000.00, yesterday I stumbled on a cbc.ca article that states those that pre-ordered prior to June 22nd 2019 are Granfathered the $5000.00 is anyone aware of this?

I need to go back to my dealer because I 9nly received the $3000.00 incentive.

    Here is the article below:

  3. It should be simple enough to produce the receipt for the deposit for a pre-order made previous to June 22/19. You will have to go back to the dealer armed with that info, but in reality it would have been a lot simpler to pick up on that when you signed the purchase contract. Not sure of the legality after that point. Good luck.

When they reduced the rebate, they did grandfather the rebate for customers that have deposits/orders in, but they also set an expiry date of Sept 22, 2019, which is 90 days from when they announced the reduction. I am also in the same boat, since Hyundai could not supply a Kona EV by that date, even if we did a deposit in May like you, so I lost the rebate.
