  1. I noticed yesterday that the time did not switch back to standard time. I thought maybe it needed some time to connect with my phone or sat system to correct, but didn't happen. So today I went into my clock settings and saw that DST was checked. I unchecked it and my clock then changed and displayed correctly.

So, does that mean that DST time changes are not automatic in this car? And you need to check or uncheck DST with every time change?

I had to do the same. My guess is that is not automatic as some states don't do DST.

  4. Hopefully the last time we will have to do this.

  5. Add that to the list of reasons to do away with DST ;-)

Same experience for me. I removed the dst setting manually which felt a little odd to perform in an age where most things update automatically but in the end, it is not a big deal. :)

Same for me in the Niro EV.
Hate how long it takes our dogs to catch on to the time change . . .

I suppose in theory they could pick up the time e changes from BlueLink. I wouldn't want to depend on that functioning however.

If you didn't have BlueLink, I don't know how you would pick up the time change reliably. Some states do dst, others don't. And even then, the rules change every once in a while.

Mine changed automatically today. Not sure how though. I forgot to manually change it the last two days and then today I realized it changed itself.

Never mind, it did not change itself. When android auto is connected, it shows the time from the phone. That got me confused.

I made the same mistake initially so you are not alone. Android automatically adjust the time as one would expect from most services createe in at least the past 10 years. Not hyundai apparently. :)
