  1. I'd love to know where you're seeing this info. I don't see it on either the Canadian or US sites. I must be missing some link somewhere.

  3. Try clearing your cache, cookies, or maybe eating them :) Seriously, its coming up on the Canadian site with Canadian pricing and incentives, it looks real. I am quite shocked about no battery heating or heat pump on this new trim level, it makes no sense in most of Canada other than for you folks in Vancouver.

  5. I literally just finished looking on my phone and computer. Not there, for me at least. Only 2019. There's nothing under "future vehicles" either.

  6. It appears that this page only shows up if you go through the shopping tools tab. I always search directly for electric. Dumb to hide it.

Not sure how pictures turned out. First time uploading them. Looked at the manual at it's the 2020 model.

If anyone looking for something specific they would like a picture let me know when I have a moment I'll post it.

Now time to hit the road on a nice 100km drive(city and hwy).

  13. Congrats, and great deal with getting the 2020 model. Enjoy...

  14. That's awesome, congratulations Grego I think you are the first person at least on this forum to get delivery of a 2020 Kona , thanks for pictures .

Greg quik question, I am assuming you did not have to pay the $1000 increased price on the 2020 preferred model trim they now have on Hyundai Canada site?

No I paid based on the 2019 pricing. I see now 2020 has 3 trim models.

I can't wait for more people to get the Kona so we can share Tips and Tricks we all learn from our experience.

Also here is a picture of the charger the dealership has when charging vehicles.. found it on Amazon.ca as well.

  16. My dealer just called, exciting news for me. My black on red Preferred Kona ordered May 13 has been issued a VIN and is expected in December. :)

I am happy for you. The VIN makes the car real. Now it just needs to be delivered :)

It took 2 months in my case so December sounds right.

    Awesome

  19. It certainly does make it very real. Funny thing I was literally offered an in stock 2020 Kia Soul EV right before my Hyundai dealer called me today about the Kona. I was seriously warming to the Kia idea as I really want to take advantage of the capital cost allowance on my taxes before the end of the calendar year. Nonetheless I am happy about Hyundai finally coming through and it will save me some cash sticking with the original plan.

It’s called Essential because without it the Kona would not qualify for the federal incentive.

Seriously, like the crippled Tesla offered at the same price, this is not a serious offer to the consumer.

  21. I think you are absolutely right, that said someone in the middle of Canada will eventually buy an Essential Kona and complain how their car won't charge in the middle of winter. I can see this back firing on Hyundai. The 2 Kw PTC battery heater should not be optional for most of Canada.

I ordered mine on June 3rd. Is anyone getting delivery/VIN's for June orders yet? I should mention that I am from Ontario.

    Thanks.

  23. Not yet - ordered June 23 and in BC. I did check with my dealer last week and I have moved up about 20 spots on the list and they are figuring Jan/Feb delivery unless there is a cancellation. It was good to see a 2020 VIN issued this week though further up this thread!
