I was told by the dealership that the excessive wind noise is "within standard noise levels' for this vehicle. Tech said he heard the noise but needed to drive another clarity. Apparently, they drove another clarity and noticed the same noise. The passengers door is whisper quiet, the driver door at highway speeds sounds like a window is cracked open. Does anyone else experience this????

Yes, not real loud but definitely noticeable. Since it’s the only window that I sit next to I’m not sure that it isn’t occurring at other windows.

Yes, I repeatedly checked if any windows were cracked open when I first got the car, because that's exactly what it sounds like. Several others on this board have reported the sound. Eg:
However, I haven't been able to figure out the cause. It is weird that it only seems to be on the driver side. It's still significantly quieter than my previous car.

Searching through the posts, it looks like some are reporting that it is an air leak associated with the small window by the driver side mirror:
@Korital, if you're still watching the board, it would be great if you could give us more details on the fix!

I notice slight exterior wind noise when driving above 45mph but I assume this is normal.

I pushed along the edges of the small window and it reduced the wind noise considerably.

You just took away $100 a Honda certified technician could have charged for the same thing. I hope you're happy.

    From inside or outside?

From the inside. Mostly along the lower edge.

Sorry it took me so long to respond....I have completed considerable research on my "wind noise". I drove the following cars for comparison, 2018 Honda Accord, 2015 Toyota Prius, 2015 Nissan Leaf and a 2018 Toyota Tacoma). I have discovered that the wind noise is the same if not greater in these other vehicles given the same speeds (>60 mph) and wind conditions. For me, this wind noise may have been bothersome due to the silence inside of the vehicle. I cancelled my appointment at the dealership. Cars do HAVE considerable wind noise near the windows at highway speeds we have just been programed to ignore it.

I had a wind noise problem on the driver's side that was due to the trim on the driver's side door on the pillar next to the back door was not glued down properly. The trim would bow out at highway speeds on the driver's side but not the passenger side. The wind noise is gone now that that the trim is properly attached (the dealer put some extra double sided tape in there, nothing fancy).

    Hello,
I too had this problem on the small driver side front window. I insisted to my dealer that they need to fix this problem. My dealer ordered a new window and replaced and re-sealed mine. The car is so quiet now, comparable to my RX 350. Godspeed.

Hello - I have the same issue on my 2018 Accord Ex....I've taken my car to the dealership six or eights times (lost count), the first time they had their collision shop adjust the side fender and hood (when finished, the fender and the hood was out of alignment) and they had the car for 8 days. Got it back, same issue. Three weeks ago I got a call that they have a fix for this issue (two way tape inside the mirror) took it in applied the fix, no whistle noise but still wind noise. Again, they called me to let me know a Honda engineer would like to look it out (great, maybe we're on to something). I took it in, after a day of diagnostics, it was concluded by the engineer the noise is caused by the "the wind characteristics" and it's normal. So, they basically told me to get used it (not in so many words)

Hi, I got the same issue. It is annoying and distracting. Took it to dealer, they acknowledged the issue but no solution. They said they dont have any directives from Honda yet so cant do much at this stage.

I too have the wind noise out of the drivers sude. Have to work hard to hear it. I think it’s coming from the front door seal. It looks like some dirt has made it past the first seal.

Seems to me like minutia in the great scheme of things...........then again, I (at an advanced age with diminished hearing from both old age and too many long airplane flights) don't notice this in my Clarity at all.......

there is a little wind noise at high speeds but I didn't think it was louder at the drivers side than anywhere else. It's super quite compared to my last car and doesn't seem any different than other cars I test drove (except less engine noise of course!).

One mans minutia is another mans albatross...lol. I have a 17 year old Subaru Outback sedan with 200k on it...there has been a wind noise coming from the passenger side door since day 1...I always believed it was coming from around the side view mirror...multiple trips to dealer early on yielded no results just a bunch of "dunno's and sure wish we can help and finally the just gonna have to live with it".

About year 8, I took a caulk gun, and caulked the thinnest of lines along the base of mirror where attached to door and walla...95% better. But who in their right mind puts caulk on a new car...right?

To your point...wind noise versus a dependable car for 17 years is minutia...but still very frustrating to the folks who have to put up with it.

    Gotta love it.
