I can think of a few.

For when your 12 V battery is dead:
-There is a manual release for the charge lid under the driver’s side dash.
-There is a manual release for the fuel fill door on the driver’s side of the trunk.
-There is a manual lock cylinder behind the driver’s side rear passenger headrest that will give you access to the trunk which does not have an exterior lock cylinder.
-And of course there is a lock cylinder on the driver’s door which is the only exterior lock cylinder on the whole car.

If the Info-tainment center display gets wonkey, you can do a reset by holding down the audio power soft button on the upper left of the display.

Holding down the unlock button on the fob after unlocking will roll down all 4 windows (but no way to roll them up) and if you time it right you can partially lower the windows.

There is a physical key inside the fob. OK, you guys who are younger or trade more often than I do, already knew this but I’ve never had a car with a remote before so it was news to me. It’s the only key I carry (August Smart Lock on the house) and I've never had to use it.

There is a fuse puller and spare fuses under the cover of the largest fuse box on the passenger side under the hood.

The only steel body panel is the one piece roof and rear top quarter panels. All others are Aluminium or plastic bumper panels so you are limited as to where you can place a magnetic sign.

When charging with the included Level 1 EVSE, preconditioning is far less powerful than on a Level 2 and may not not keep up with very low temperature. And desired preconditioning temperature has nothing to do with how you’ve set the climate control. It’s all based on a preset algorithm according to outside and inside temperatures so it may not always work like you wish it to.

The climate control measures temperature and humidity and will automatically select fresh or recirculating unless you manually select one.
It’s rather cumbersome to try and get fresh air without and air conditioning or heat. You have to set the temperature to it’s lowest setting and manually turn off the AC.

Heat and defrost (and associated low temps) will reduce your range way more than AC usage.

There is no spare or jack provided; just an inflator/slime 12V gizmo of limited utility. The included roadside assistance will only tow you to the nearest Honda dealer which may not be very convenient at that particular moment.

    Thanks.

Also important, avoid using said gizmo as refills for the goop inside are not available.

We've seen a member of this forum use plastic wrap to disguise the rear fender skirt, but with the rear fenders being steel I'm surprised no one has made a magnetic black "rounder" for skirt-haters not skilled in the application of plastic wrap.

For temporary repair i carry tire plug kit and also a fixaflat can. I will only use the goop or fixaflat can when the plug is not safe or fails to seal.

  9. A few things I discovered on this site:

    1) Just touching the driver’s or passenger’s door handle unlocks all the doors (if you have it set to do so). I had thought you had to actually lift the door handle to make that work.

    2) The steering wheel adjusts in and out, as well as up and down.

    3) Pushing and holding the “+” and “-” buttons on the cruise control increments the setting up or down in 5mph increments, something I use all the time.

  10. Except if you manually turn off the AC in the Climate screen while driving, it will not re-enable it for preconditioning, so you might come back to a well-ventilated, but hot car when summer preconditioning. Design fail, in my view.

If you don't want the daytime running lights to be on while sitting parked with the system on, activate the parking brake (if it isn't already) then turn the car off and back on again.

  13. If you prefer having the headlights always on you can do so and they will shut off about 10-15 seconds after the car is turned off.

Since I'm forever forgetting to use the remote climate control to cool off the car before I get there, I'm excited to have this as a plan B. I'm assuming everyone knows that you can put the windows up by doing a quick pull and release on the window levers.

To have it always go straight to the vehicle energy screen when you press the Info icon, you just have to turn off the menu default for that screen.

Settings -> Info -> Others -> Info Screen Preferences -> Off

This will cause that when you press the Info icon it goes to whatever screen you were on last in the info screen, which usually will be the energy screen. You can still see other info screens at any time by pressing Info and then when the energy screen appears press the menu button on the left side of the infotainment screen.

You can roll up or down the windows with the physical key. Unlock, return key to neutral position and immediately unlock any and hold key. Windows will roll down.

lock car, return key to neutral position and lock and hold key. Windows will roll up.

I believe there's a way to do this with the fob; I seem to have trouble with the close portion of that command, however

No, you cannot close the windows with the button on the fob. I'm sure lawyers had a say in restricting remote window-closing when the car might be out of sight. The lawyers reluctantly said it was OK to use the key to close the windows because the key-holder would be right there to see if any person's or pet's head was sticking out of the window. I know the windows supposedly detect heads blocking the windows from closing, but they might not always do so.

It's called pinch-protection, and is required on any motorized aperture, where the auto-maker wishes to incorporate some auto-close function (gates, trunks, windows, doors, etc..).
This is why I'm a little confused by the disconnect. My old Saab had this; feature comes handy at the face of rainfall.

On most cars I've had (in modern time) the driver's window control is labeled "Auto" -- that is if the driver presses down, or up and holds for an extra second, the window goes all the way down, or all the way up. It is still possible to go down a little, and release the control, but very easy to get the window all the way down (or up) with one 'command.' Interesting to note on the Clarity, all of the windows including the rear ones work this way, at least on the drivers console. So if you want to quickly and easily open one or more windows it's easy to do-- even "manually." And of course, as others have mentioned unlock, then unlock hold puts all the windows down (on the FOB).

And not really hidden but worth a mention. Clarity supports walk-away auto-lock which I love and use every day. It's the only way I ever lock the car, and it works flawlessly for me. (I realize some in these forums have not had this experience). I'm not exaggerating when I say I've almost never manually lock the car, unless I hear rapid beeps which is extremely rare. The rapid beeps mean the car was unable to auto-lock. Anyway, it's also not included on modern Toyota competitors -- say Highlander even with Toyota Sense 2.0. There's no walk away auto-lock.

One can tune when and if the car auto-locks doors. Further, it's tunable how many doors unlock too. So for me, unlock always means all 4 doors, but the setting is adjustable. I also don't permit the car to auto-lock doors ever (no young kids to worry about opening a door).

Wipers auto-adjust speed of wiping by your cars speed. I find this one cool but some may find odd.

The auto-on for the headlights is adjustable. So if you desire headlights to turn on automatically at dusk, easy to tune that setting. Also if you prefer they don't turn on easily, easy to tune that setting.

Simply turning the car off, sets parking. i.e. never a need to press P first.

Sport mode- in my opinion just turn it on and leave it on all the time. That coupled with max regen all of the time makes for nearly one peddle driving (as KentuckyKen taught me)

No way unique but adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow is awesome. I use it a lot, but its a godsend on long drives.

The rear seat has a pull down drink holder. Again not unique at all but may be "hidden"

My favorite feature I use all summer long is turning on air conditioning without making any engine sound or exhaust. If stuck waiting in a hot parking lot, no one knows my AC is turned on but me. Also remote climate control is super-useful.

On either side of the interior light switch are two tiny LED lights which illuminate the center wing console. The lights are approximately as bright as moonlight and are only noticeable when the cabin is very dark. They have a noticeably warmer color temperature than the other interior lights. These lights have no switch that controls them, and they are not mentioned anywhere in the owners manual.

@KentuckyKen in post #2 above wrote, "The only steel body panel is the one piece roof and rear top quarter panels. All others are Aluminium or plastic bumper panels so you are limited as to where you can place a magnetic sign." I am too dumb to know what a "rear top quarter panel" is, but if it isn't the panel surrounding the rear wheel wells the idea of a "magnetic black 'rounder'" might not work. But sticky Velcro might still work!

Ambient lighting is slowly emerging in car interiors.
