  1. Hopefully a glitch, I have had a couple of what I feel are software issues with the dash display going blank and front parking sensors going off for no reason when driving  but cleared up and no problems since .
I always check accessory battery voltage after this happens but both times the voltage was acceptable 12.65 V.

  3. I'm experiencing a slight rattle coming from the seatbelt height adjuster. It's not much, but since it's close to the ear, it's a bit annoying. Sounds like an internal spring that can use a little lube to damper the noise.

I'm also picking up a second rattling sound which I'm having a harder time pinpointing. Somewhere in the general vicinity of the center console to the passenger side. I checked the glove box (even completely emptying it at one point) but still hearing it.

Anyone else picking up these or similar rattles?

  5. He mentions grease the mechanism solves it.

  6. My water bottles squeak and rattle in the centre console and the door pockets. Drives me nuts and I constantly forget the source!

  8. I think this is the most common rattle complaint. I fixed for a while with a piece of thin cardboard stuffed into the gap, but it's back now.

    This:
You upload a destination using the MyHyundai app.
Later you power in the car and press all the buttons required to get ready to move, but are still waiting for the nav to boot up.
The nav asks you if you want to set the uploaded address as the destination. You click to set it as the destination.
So far so good, as long as you’re not in a hurry.
Then you plug in your iPhone. CarPlay starts, and the nav loses its destination. Boo!

Yeah, I know why use the built in nav, right? Well, I guess I’d just like this integration to work better.

A of times lately I had a situation where both the air conditioning and the heating were on at the same time. It was a warm day and I noticed it was getting warmer, looked over and both were on but the heater seems to be winning the battle. Anyone else have this happen? I wasn't in auto mode at the time.

I believe it is possible to air condition without cooling. I have always made a habit of running the AC occasionally in the winter, with the heater on, just to flush out the system.

As for how your heater came on, you have to ask the genie who lives inside the climate control.

  13. Using the heat pump will have the same "flush" affect as using the AC, but using the AC in winter is an effective way to defrost.

  14. Yes, you're first cooling the air down. Moisture gets removed since cool air doesn't hold as much moisture than warm air, then you warm it up and blow it into the cabin. Not the most energy efficient thing to do, but you get dry warm air.

It was fairly humid so I wonder if that triggered the AC, even tho the heat was on.

  16. Yup. The auto-defrost is pretty sensitive. The smallest bit of condensation on the lower windscreen triggers it.

I found the ACC Active Cruise Control is a little to respond, after coming to a complete stop in stop and go traffic and the traffic resumes again.
So my solution is, to hit the Res button again.

My one quirky issue, that drives me crazy....is the infamous (cruise control conditions not met).

I know this has been discussed elsewhere. I haven't run into it often despite regular use of CC, but the other day it got me because I had inadvertently disabled traction control.

  20. Weird, I basically never get it. Make sure you pull the button down first to set it. When I got it I accidentally pushed it up to resume when I haven't set any speed yet. It then gives you that message too.

Yeah ive prolly done that with Res but my fix alot of times, is switch drive modes till i get back to Eco. Sometimes it fixes, other times it doesnt and then i hit Set and it will magically work again.lol

Seems like a few things cause this, but for me, every time it has been because I was pushing the accelerator too hard when I hit the engage button. Backed off the accelerator, and it worked fine, no other changes.

  23. For some weird reason it won't engage unless you have used the brakes already on the particular trip. Tapping them allows it to engage. I've never figured out the "safety" logic in designing it this way.
