Where are the sound deadening plugs located?

    What he said.
Attached is the Clarity specific PDI that has that info and a whole lot more, including jack points and the need to lower tire pressure down from the high shipping pressure. Dealers often forget to do that.

The real question: do they work? My own ear tells me there is no difference before and after the plugs.

I can't tell any difference at all for sound. I have no idea if they might help with water intrusion or whatever.

Couldn't really tell any difference in sound either but...
We have had multiple instances of rodents getting inside vehicles parked outside, chewing through wires, storing acorns, building nests, etc.
Blocking possible entry points seems like a wise idea. Also makes sense for water intrusion as mentioned.

I guess the name 'sound deadening plugs' is why I'm questioning any actual reduction in cabin noise. If they were called 'body water seals', I probably wouldn't have commented.

Thank you for the PDI. I was looking in the wheel wells.

We got them installed and found that it made a significant difference with road noise.

I bought them myself after 6 months because the dealership didn't install them on delivery. I notice zero difference.

I drove the car on a set route this evening and then returned home to install the plugs. Then I drove the route again. I think, at highway speeds, I noticed a difference: Where there had been a kind of flutey whistling sound on smooth pavement, it was no more. There is, however, so much road noise that it's difficult to determine what one is or is not hearing. An annoying rattle on rough pavement turned out to be my sunglasses in the hard plastic ceiling holder: I guess I'll either have to line it with foam or put my glasses in a case before storing them there.

I had the same issue with a rattle that drove me nuts until I removed the sunglasses in the ceiling holder!
