I’m thinking about 2750-3000. A few folks on TMC have noted deliveries slowing down the past few days. So numbers might be a bit lower. (Especially considering the short month of February.)
For the Model 3, 2,485 for February. We were all a little high. I got sorta close at 2,750... ...but in the traditional Price is Right fashion, Feed the Trees was the "closest without going over." Good job, Feed the Trees!
Not the number you were hoping for, I take it? ^^; I was hoping for at least 2,750... but as I noted deliveries were slowed at the end of the month. So I wasn't surprised to see the estimates be even lower. I wasn't quite sure how significantly that was going to impact sales or why it happened, but Inside EVs was apparently contacted by an anonymous source with the reason. "We should also point out that an anonymous source with close ties to Model 3 production made us aware that the line has been down for as much as a week at a time over the course of the last month or so due to timing issues with the robots."
I was hoping that they made 5000 over the last 5 weeks with 3800 deliveries and 1200 in transit... Sent from my iPhone using Inside EVs
That... is not going to be enough. Serious question... how long a leash do they have before share holders and bond holders start getting the jitters and demand they explore sale options. We know they're behind but if they aren't showing any signs of getting anywhere close to what their financial projections are based on, well then heads start rolling. The company future has been pegged to this. I know this is Musk but even he has a leash. Where is the Mendoza line?
Over on the InsideEVs News site, "Nix" posted something just a day or two ago that (if I recall correctly) said there were 10 times as many people wanting to make an industrial investment in Tesla as the latest investment round had room for. Nix also pointed out that those with long-term investment in Tesla stock have seen their investment increase in vale by more than 10 times. Let's say that again: More than 10 times the original investment! So, where is the "Mendoza line"? I think it's safe to say it's much, much farther away than you are implying it is.
