I like using this app. It has a lot of goodies that help with knowing your car a little better. But has anyone used this app to send a destination to your car? I've tried several times and it does not come up in my car. Is there a trick to using this?

Hadn't noticed that before, but now that I see it, I'll have to try it. I didn't think past the map, but the Search for places feature may have some interesting possibilities - especially when we're out of town. If, of course, it actually works.

It's very hard to see where the destination input is. If you look at the very top of your screen, you'll see a small icon, close to the middle top, that you need to swipe down to 'engage'. Once you swipe down, you'll see your actual destination and can then input that directly into the Nav. I'm not sure why Honda does it that way since it's so easy to miss, but it is what it is.

    Definitely not something that's a one-step, push-button operation!

Here is what I just got when I tried it out… now that 5 minutes is up, I'll go back and see if the destination arrived - and if it works with more alacrity now that it's connected…

We’ve found that’s it’s definitely not 100%, for whatever reason. My wife gets frustrated at times with it. We’re trying to figure out if it’s dependent on the phone that sent the directions, being the phone currently connected to the car. So if she sends it to the car with her phone, but I get into the car first and it’s my phone connected, will the destination arrive?

Sorry folks, I'm completely lost. I don't see the icon on my HondaLink app. Where exactly are you finding this? Or, is this a feature only on the iPhone version of the app? Nothing like this on the Android version.

Just to the left of the clock (but to the right of the 'source' button) you will see some icons (bluetooth, phone battery level, phone signal strength, etc.) Swipe down from that general area (it's a pain to hit the right spot.) You should get a list of notifications and one of them will say something like "Location sent from Honda-Link App" and you can click it to open it in the built-in GPS. Of course this assumes you have the touring model, I don't believe non-touring has the GPS (and therefore this feature.)

I will admit it doesn't always show up there right away, and sometimes it seems to never make it...

Also, I think you might have to be stationary and in park to do this. (But don't quote me on it)

Ah, that's why I don't have it. Makes sense. Sorry for the thread interruption. :)
