So few EVs, which FCA model should be next?

FCA has the fewest EVs and electrified vehicles for sale in the U.S. among major automakers. Really only a couple, like the Fiat 500e and Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. Which should be electrified next, or should FCA develop an all-new purpose-built EV?

My thoughts: an all-electric performance model, like a small convertible that offers incredible performance and 150+ mile range for $35K or so. Would be Dodge-branded and not violate their muscle car identity because it'll offer amazing performance and won't have a "green" or "appliance" image.

A performance EV would be nice but I don't think we will get much of anything while Sergio is running things.

Agree, Sergio will be slow to adapt to EV market, but I like the idea. Something like the tesla roadster to really sell the idea of an EV from Dodge

Are you thinking along the lines of the Fiat 124 Spider? Hmm ... I wonder if there's any Mazda impact there? Not likely I guess though since the Spider has a Fiat engine.

Personally, I was imagining more of a 4C or Z4 type car, but I admit I do not know much about the 124

It's basically a carbon copy of the Mazda RX-5 Miata (with a Fiat powertrain). Small two-seat convertible. Remarkably agile. But yes, 4C or Z4 makes perfect sense. Good stuff!

I think the small performance EV would be good, I personally would like to see a larger EV 2+2 performance sports car similar Ferrari California or Maserati GranTurismo.

I feel like so much about what makes a 2+2 is engine placement. Will be interesting to see how dimensions and space change with EVs (maybe back seats will be more practical!)

The Dodge Circuit EV is what you seek. Sadly you are 8 years (and one project cancellation) removed (***Edit worked!***) from finding it.

Well that's perfect. maybe it's time to bring the project back, don't see how any EV can be a bad investment in the current climate.

  14. I was thinking Dodge Demon Concept at first, but then I thought the Circuit EV concept looked better, so maybe just a droptop of that.

Why not both!! The Demon is an electric Hellcat and the Circuit is an electric Viper.

YES! Maybe an actual person could fit in the back seat!

I was thinking they should have a RAM 1500 EV. Probably more like the Pacifica Hybrid would be a better start, but in the long run, a RAM 1500 EV would be nice
