Always a popular subject on any forum and the Clarity needs one too!

Today, I added a universal trunk lid rubber protector applied with 3M (supposedly) double sided tape. It's about 35 inches long and only need minor trimming of the front corners. So far it's survived one car wash.

Do they have them without ribs? So much dirt piles up there now I would hate to have ribs to keep the dirt from rinsing off in the rain.

FWIW, Honda makes a clear one that looks better and is almost invisible.

Or you can buy a strip of clear 3M protectant film and trim it to fit yourself. :)

Just what I did on the door sills. Bought a long piece for less than $20 on eBay and cut to fit all 4.

I've not had good luck with protective film/vinyl on other vehicles so I decided to specifically look this time for a thicker rubber type solution like the OEM protector on our OutBack bumper.

@ around $4 each, they're cheap enough I ordered three more (1 ea. for front and split 1 for rears) to use as door sill protectors. Also pictured, I got Goodyear floor mats sourced from Walmart, around $25 for set with rear runner.

This thread is for everyone. It doesn't really have to be "today". ;)

Can you share a link for the door sill protectors and the floor mats?

Brought home a tall bar stool. Only had to lower one seat back for it to fit. Who needs a hatchback? (TIC)

Sorry, I missed this. See post #9 above.

Added some grippy shelf liner material to the central tray to keep things from sliding around as much. I cut and laid in two layers which also helps with reduction. A roll is way too much material but it only cost about 96 cents (walmart or similar). Bonus points for nearly matching the base seat cover texture and color. Folks think it comes this way.

Last month I had the same experience. Cars even the same colors (except for the dirt on the red one. How do you keep yours so clean? I bet you cheat and wash it).

I had just returned to get my car at a public parking/charging station. Beside me was a black Tesla with two young men dithering around the EVSE. As I was unhooking, they continued to dither. Finally, little old lady to millennial hipsters, "Are you having a problem?" Turns out they had borrowed the car and had neglected to get the charge card for the ChargePoint station. They were getting frantic.

I pointed out the link on the EVSE to 20th century tech—a telephone number! I said, "Call the number with your 21st century smartphone; give them your 20th century credit card number and they will make everything OK." I then leapt in my Clarity and drove off before they could discover that not all little old ladies know what they are talking about and ask me to activate the EVSE for them and drain my ChargePoint account.

I suggest you pay extra to get the ceramic IR/heat blocking film. It makes a noticeable difference on heat gain in the car and reduces the ac load. My state even allows putting it on the windshield at a 70 % VLT.

Ha,ha, yes it was washed the day before but we would drive thru a small rain on the way home.

I forgot to add it to this thread but I applied a thin coat of Optimum clear coat protectorant: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NAJ6HYQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 shortly after purchase. I found out about it on another forum several years ago and tried it for the first time back when we got a new 2015 OutBack. It's never had a wax, still looks great and just now appears to be wearing thin (not quite beading up like it use too). The price has been lowered so it's now a much better deal.

Here's a couple of recent pics of that subie with a brand new freshly painted front fender that didn't match and was sent back :(; a good comparison tho' of new vs old paint condition.

I moved this from a spare tire thread, but wanted to give @Tek_Freek credit for pointing these out. I bought the same type from Ebay. I like how it works thus far. Decided to use the supplied double sided adhesive mount to stick it on the inside of the space below the console... about $25 including shipping and tax.
