The pics are 'representative', so of course the question is does the mat cover the entire trunk floor, or does is just cover the lower section near the opening like the factory trunk mat?

I called Weathertech and they sent these pictures.

Nice work, JimW! That definitely covers the entire trunk floor. Looks awesome!

I'm done with Weathertech. I put in a new set in December when I bought the Clarity. I took them out last weekend to clean them and it was next to impossible to get all the grime out. I understand the non slippery surface but the Weathertech surface traps dirt like a magnet. I've also had them in two Ford Rangers and a Chevy Volt and they have always been difficult to clean. Granted the winter sludge here in Ohio is probably worse that in 70% of the country. I have read that Husky floor mats are easier to clean. I don't think they are available yet for the Clarity, however.

I’ve tried both WT and Husky in my other vehicle. Both show staining from the winter mess but the WT is a bit less likely to get surface marring. Both take extra effort to clean; perhaps more so with the WT. I kept the WT because of a better fit. Others on here have used Tuxmat.

It’s just plastic. Rear seats apparently protected by plastic film tucked into the folding seat backs, probably while they were working on the car measuring for and designing the mat.

X2 to Tim66 on not being a weather tech fan. Overpriced and not that special.

I wasn't aware of Tuxmat. Just checked, they do have mats for the Clarity but the front set floor mats only are sold out. They are about $40 more than the Weathertech though. Interesting.

Just ordered the trunk mat. I have the Honda 1/2 coverage mat, but was hauling 12 1-gallon jugs of aviation smoke oil the other day and one leaked. It cleaned up pretty well, but I still have an oily smell. Good timing to change out for a full coverage mat.

As to keeping WeatherTech mats clean, I suggest the WeatherTech cleaning products. They are tough to clean, but with the right cleaner and a good stiff bristle brush, they do come clean.

WeatherTech cleaner must be liquid gold, $14 for 12 ounces. Simple Green, which seems to be effective from what I've read, is $10 a gallon. I'm going to try the Simple Green next time.

Can you report back on how hard, or easy, they are to clean? The look good. Did you get the carpeted ones or the all plastic. At least it looked like one of the models was carpeted.

I got the all weather ones.. It's not a rubbery surface and based on the YouTube videos they look really easy to clean

Prices on the Tuxmat website are in Canadian dollars. When converting to US, the cost for the front + rear sets is about $171 before shipping, which is a less than Weathertech's $190

I've used both WT and tuxmats in New England. Through 1 winter, tuxmats are amazing. I didn't even remove them from the car, just a damp rag and a vacuum and they look like new. Seriously amazing. I'm not sure if they will hold up like WTs but there is none of the staining that your talking about. No permenant brown haze.

The WT trunk tray looks great. Any issue accessing the cubby? I keep my 120v charger in there and use it often.

Excellent question. I think that is the one thing keeping me from buying the trunk mat. I access the cubby in the floor often and don't want to deal with a possibly difficult to move trunk mat. Anyone bought one yet and can provide an answer?

I exchanged my Honda OEM rubber mats for the carpets today. They are very easy to clean. I just wiped them off with a wash-mitt.

On the down-side, they don't protect the area around the accelerator pedal or the dead pedal very well. Here, you can see what I found below the dead pedal after removing the rubber mat.

I have the tuxmat in the trunk. It has a fairly thick lip at the top that is easy to grab and lift up to get into the cubby. I rarely use the cubby for anything so I’ve only dealt with it a few times. IMO it’s pretty easy to lift up. Overall I love the tuxmats. They fit great all around and are very easy to clean.
