Phones and PCs are hacked because clueless users install crap they shouldn't and don't know how to set up secure networks.

How crazy is this? I am annoyed with my knee constantly resting/banging against the large 'wings' protruding from the central console. Seriously thinking about spending $80 on a new base(part # 12 in attached diagram) . Cut off the part that hold parts 14 and 15 and add an vertical upholstered pad to cover the gap. Yeah, I know it would be a chore swapping all the controls/indicators and yes, I do not even know how hard it is to get that part off and how much has to be disassembled to get to that part. I am guessing that no one here has seen how the console goes together. I also get bored with my wife being the one who calls me loopy, though I would give more people a chance.

I haven't kept up with all the wish list items, so if these have been mentioned, I apologize in advance:
    1) Limit charging to x% of battery (so you don't have to charge to 100% as a default if you don't need the range before charging again)
    2) Set charging current (Like Tesla allows) so you can dial back current if on a weak circuit (like setting 26A when on a 30A level 2 breaker).

  5. I would add better "fit" for the hood, trunk and gas and electric covers. Everytime I walk past them, I see the huge gaps that let leaves and dirt in.

have you tried pushing the seat back all the way so your legs are propped up less so they are lower than the wings? You can compensate by pulling the steering wheel closer to you

How about a rear windshield wiper?

Does any non-hatchback car have a rear windshield wiper?

I wish the Clarity was a hatchback, but it was first a fuel-cell car carrying a giant hydrogen tank that occupies much of the trunk area. That tank (and its smaller companion under the rear seat) need to be protected and a hatchback body isn't as strong as a 4-door body. A hatchback body is almost certainly heavier, too. I also wish the new Insight was a hatchback, but that's not a hatchback because Honda wanted to build it in the USA and all the Civic hatchbacks (the new Insight is a Civic with body mods) come from the UK.

Totally on board with that one, Rick! It's annoying wanting to play, for instance, Sirius while navigating with google maps. Pandora is buggy and more than a headache, a pain somewhere else...

Honda has already deployed OTA updates. I get them in my 2019 Acura RDX. Lots of software is shared between their brands; HondaLink and AcuraLink have only cosmetic differences. No reason they couldn’t do OTA on the Clarity too.

I don't know if it's your same experience but my system has become slower and sluggish with time (and it has been only 3 months), it wasn't so bad at the beginning. I'm afraid it's an Android thing, I had similar issues with a Samsung galaxy Tab3 I used as a "navigation device" on my old car but it became so overwhelmed with "bloatware" and Google Maps crashing continuously I ended throwing it in a drawer and forgetting about it.

Just add a $50 Garmin to the dash. I used velcro to attach it to the back of the touchscreen, a bumper on the back, and the cord sits in the depression between the nacelle and the dash. Easy to remove and steady as a rock.

I found this advice on a Civic site in response to similar complaints, "The Quick Service guys said that to do a hard reset of the infotainment system, you need to hold down the dimmer switch while pressing the audio off and menu buttons at the same time. Hold them down for a long time, until the screen asks if you want to reboot. (You may have to let go and hold them down more than once.) Select yes, and the system will reboot. That fixed my problem! The guy said that they recommend doing this every six months or so, since a lot of data can cache in these systems, and the reboot clears it. Hope this is useful."

I haven't tried it yet so no guarantees.

Is there anyway to tell if software updates or service bulletins have been completed on the Clarity? Mine has a build date of March 2018 and we bought it in Feb 2019. I know there were 3 or 4 updates in 2018 but don't really know if they were applied to my vehicle prior to picking it up.

The dealership is required to complete all recalls available at the time of purchase.

I don't believe these are recalls, they are TSBs, which is more of a update as needed or requested situation.

No, the letters that Honda has been sending out in the last couple of weeks titles these as Recall.

Can't you do it with just one hydraulic cylinder that's larger?

Just think how much better this guy's life could be if he knew the difference between hydraulic and pneumatic.
