  1. Congrats!!!!
    Thanks for sharing.
I've just created a new thread to share initial photos and first impressions of your car. I hope you'll consider sharing more of your ownership experience.

    Great news about the ALKA!
Thank you for posting. Shame about the side mirrors - I thought that was practically standard on every vehicle these days. Oh well! One day

No power folding mirrors! Uh oh! My husband won't be happy about this in a major way as he hates cars that don't have folding mirrors due to tight garage etc. Seriously this may make him reconsider the purchase. He is still sleeping so I will see what he says. Oh boy I am not looking forward to breaking this news.

However the main point is you have yours and it is a beautiful car. Congratulations!

Power outside mirrors are mentioned in the manual (if equipped). Seems to me that the “Ultimate” version should have it.

Can you please check this procedure and see if the Ultimate has manual or power folding mirrors ? Screenshot 2019-01-19 10.05.35.png

That was the first thing I tried when I took possession of the car. Let me go out and try it again

Sadly no. Those buttons are not even there.

I can manually fold the mirrors so theres no motor there as an option to automatically fold.

Thanks for doing the re-check. Sad but to me not the end of the world. My husband is not too grumpy about this so maybe we will be okay with the order. lol

Yeah I was thinking about how big of an issue this would be for me and I think the same that this would not be the "end of the world" .It too bad that a car this expensive doesn't have this option.

Well hopefully the wiring harness will be the same so that the mirrors could be added in the future.

Same goes for the power seats. If another Kona uses the same style of seats but has the power option then if the wiring harness is in present it may be swappable. I think we'd have to dig around under the passenger seat to see if there is an unused electrical connector.

I would not normally post for a silly thing like a sighting but I spotted a white Kona at Oxford & Lougheed and gave a thumbs up. The reason I posted is that I noticed that the brake lights were not on while the car was waiting to turn left. It was not creeping at all. As the car accelerated it appeared to be releasing its brakes. Does this car have very little creep? Assuming this was you, if the vehicle has a good amount of creep then I suggest you give your brake lights a check. As a new vehicle these sort of things could be missed or out of adjustment.

  18. Does that mean there are no visible brake lights when stopping or slowing via the Regen paddles? I hope that's not the case.

  19. According to the reviews, the brake lights do come on during regen braking.

I do see the brake lights turn on from reflection of the rear car when I Regen brake holding the left paddle.

  21. Excellent. I was just questioning after what EnerG witnessed.

I read that the brake lights are on for level 3 regen, but not lesser levels. We need a tester to check that.

Did you see them for all levels of regen?
