That little cable guide helps us keep our lightning cables in reach. We just have to remember the silver-tipped one is for CarPlay.

  3. Nice. Where'd you get it?

  4. Amazon has lots of hits under “cable organizers”.

    Here’s one such:

Handy in many different places. In a pinch, Home Depot has some, but they’re a lot more expensive.

I saw some at Staples the other day.

Good idea. I just ordered a set from Amazon, along with a 3 ft cable. I had been keeping my phone on the lower shelf with a short USB cable, but discovered that apparently it can dim the screen if it is face down or covered, presumably because of the phone light sensor. I also have a tendency to forget to take it with me when I exit the car. I plan to keep it in the drink holder, and the organizer should help to avoid dangling or misplaced cables

I really wish they would have put the USB ports in the center console rather than the shelf under the gear selector.

They had that on my 2012 Prius Plugin and I hated it. The USB plugs were always fighting it out with the CDs. Of course that is not a problem with the Clarity :)

I hate the look of cables laying around in the car. We have both iphones and android, too many cables! Has anyone tried one with a retractable cable? I have tried the short cables, and they are a little neater, but are a pain to use.

Thats why android auto and carplay need to be wireless as well... should just be able to use a wireless charging pad and never have to plug in my phone

I was thinking retractable as well. This one is and Amazon product and is Apple Certified so it shouldn't crap out after a week. The only thing i don't like about it is you have to pull it to get it to retract.

Then there's this that's also Apple Certified and take care of the manual retraction, but is dang ugly...

  16. How about a single cable for all three? I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Powerline-Lightning-Samsung-Smartphones/dp/B071WNQYV6/ which we use for charging when out and about. Haven't tried it yet in the car with Carplay and Android Auto.
