I received a nice long survey from Honda this morning concerning how I like my Clarity PHEV. I spent a good 15 minutes or so answering a ton of questions, concerning features etc.

I think this is a good opportunity to tell Honda just how we feel about this car, and what upgrades we want to see in the future.

    Has anyone else completed one?

I completed that survey today. It was obviously created for Honda's regular cars, not for the Clarity. For example, it asked about "remote start" rather than remote climate-control preconditioning. The questions about HondaLink weren't well matched to our car's HondaLink app. I suppose Honda wanted to cram all it's survey answers for all their cars into a standard matrix for reporting purposes. As a result the survey won't give the company important insights regarding their most unique automobile.

OK, there was one good thing about the survey: It gave me a place to complain about the lack of an optional heated steering wheel.

I haven't gotten anything from Honda directly, but I have gotten two different surveys from MaritzCX in which I trashed all gas guzzlers and told them the only cars I'd ever consider buying in the future must have a pure EV mode with enough battery capacity to get around town and run errands for a day without needing to recharge.

    Me 3.

You could tell it was not specific to the Clarity as there was no mention of the charging, no mention of EV aspects or the battery or range, no mention of the other dozen or so things which are unique to this car. On the list of other cars we own it did not even list the Clarity under Honda's vehicles (not that we own more than one, but you'd think it would be on the list in case we did).

I don't think I had heard of a heated steering wheel until a week or two ago on this forum. Is this a new feature or have they been around a while?

It's a thing on the Chevy Volt. IMHO it's not useful given the effectiveness of the cabin heater, and it makes the wheel on the Volt uncomfortably fat to hold for long drives.

Are Honda heated steering wheels also fatter than their frigid siblings? I'd expect Honda to find a way to make them the same thickness, but will take this item off my wish list if they are fatter, like the Volt's heated steering wheel.

Any one received a survey from a company called field dynamics ? I got a snail mail soliciting a 40-minute survey.
Haven't signed up yet as I am not sure it is real or a scam.

They have a website (albeit just a wordpress website), so they must be real! You should feel honored to be considered a "quality respondent recruit."

Interesting company. Looks like a recruiting firm. I'd take a pass on their survey.

Stock photo of an empty conference room and using a subdomain... The lengths people go to to run scams these days... it's like this place isn't really trying.

I got a card through the mail too. Did anyone take the survey?

I've taken two so far, a first and then they sent a followup. The followup was mostly for competitive info as to how much I considered Hyundai and Kia alternatives from what I remember...

If it was the one with a Sonata Hybrid, Niro EV, Outlander gas-guzzler, and something else, that was the one from MaritzCX, not Honda.

I received the snail mail card from Field Dynamics as well. Were you also offered $60 to complete the survey?

Same here, spoke with them and they look legit. Completed the survey today.

The questions were actually pretty good and tailored to the clarity phev.

P.S - The survey is not from/for Honda. My guess is, it is either Toyota or GM trying to figure out why we bought the Clarity
    instead of their PHEV.

The survey was all geared to the Clarity. Waiting for $60 check.

Back to the OP. The survey I received was from Honda. It was a fairly comprehensive set of questions about features and satisfaction. It was mostly, but not exactly, accurate for the Clarity. It took about a half hour. It was a well-done refinement of the first fairly superficial survey I received shortly after buying the car. It looked to me like Honda was serious about owner’s input.
