    Hello friendly fellow Clarity owners....
I purchased my Clarity a week ago. As I work through different....issues....it seems that some of them may be fixed with a simple software update. Is there a way to know which updates I need? I have checked Honda link and it tells me nothing. I fear if I just go back to the dealer and say "please update" they won't know what I am talking about.
    Thoughts?

You go to your service center, they plug it in, and it gets updated based on VIN. If you schedule an appointment in advance, do call the actual service technicians in addition to the appointment desk. You want to tell the technician your VIN so they can look up what SBs apply to your car, and order parts if they need to, because the appointment desk won't bother to do that and then you'll have to go in twice because they won't have the parts the first time.

Not that I'm doubting you but I hope there's a better way to find out this information, now or in the immediate future. Other wise, do we need to bring the car in every "insert your time frame here" just to see if we're up to date?

Probably. People here and on Reddit can share the SBs with everyone, but I've yet to see anyone have a list of what VINs each SB applies to, and I'm not certain there even is an accurate list. I think their updater software knows better than any of the people involved. For example, when I emailed Honda support (who in addition to having my VIN, is actually Honda, not just the dealer service department), they very explicitly said only three of the October recall updates applied to my car. The dealer's computer showed all four applied to my VIN.

I took my car in for its 3rd service (A02) Tuesday and the list of needed service bulletins showed up when they scanned the barcode inside the drivers side door.
None of the four updates I needed are particularly new - so a week old Clarity should be current.

Bought a week ago doesn't mean a week old... The actual manufacture date is in the door on that same sticker. Given how many dealers don't bother to even charge the cars upon delivery, I highly doubt most "new" buys actually have the software updated to that point, either.

To Claire’s list from @D. Red’s post, add:
    18-069, HV range erroneously high
    18-079, multiple warning lights
18-097, charging problems (sensitivity to power fluctuations at public chargers)
And I think those are all the US SBs that have been posted.

It seems our Canadian friends go by Campaign IDs.
    From @Vezz66’s post:
ManufacturerCampaignId:N44 eVTC and 3-Way Valve Software
    ManufacturerCampaignId:N45 Climate Control Unit Replacement
    ManufacturerCampaignId:N46 Incorrect Vehicle Range Display
Also the Canadian version of the US SB 18-069 was reported to be J-20-18.

Is my understanding correct for the following:
    18-091 supersedes 18-069?
    18-089 supersedes 18-079?

So this is the complete list as of 11/5/18:
    18-089
    18-090
    18-091
    18-096
    18-097

    ??

I'm bringing my car in for the software updates on Friday. Does anyone know whether these updates will cause changes to any non-related settings, such as Sirius pre-sets and dashboard display?

BTW, I asked the service manager at the dealership and he was totally clueless.

What date did all these SBs come out?
I was surprised to see that the sticker inside my door says 9/'18.
I did plug in to a ChargePoint station this weekend and had zero problems charging, so is it possible I already have 18-097 and thus am up to date already?

I find that I am the person who is teaching my dealership about the Clarity. They are clueless; for example, they delivered the vehicle with a zero-charge on the HV battery. They bragged about always delivering their cars with a full tank of gas, but they just don't realize how different the driving characteristics are around town with a depleted HV battery. So my first impression of my new car was completely different than it was the next morning after an overnight charge.

I am sure that this varies dramatically based on the location of the dealership and their customer profile. I live in a rural area and the big deal here is Big Pickup Trucks. I had to go to the closest large town to even be able to test drive the Clarity, and then was faced with the question of whether to buy it from them and be 50 miles from the service department, or make arrangements to buy it locally and have a convenient contact. I picked the latter, but I think it was the wrong decision. Not only did the people who helped me with a test drive get screwed because they didn't sell a car, but I have no confidence in the ability of the local service department. I don't think they even have a level-2 charger at the dealership.

I’m taking my Clarity in for an update tomorrow. This is the description Honda Canada sent me:
PRODUCT UPDATE: EVTC (P100C/P0010) & 3-WAY VALVE (P26A3) SOFTWARE UPDATE

On certain 2018 Clarity Plug-in hybrid vehicles, there is a software problem in the PCM, which may cause the

MIL to illuminate with one of the following DTCs:

 DTC P100C (electric VTC motor speed signal circuit malfunction)

 P0010 (variable valve timing control [VTC] malfunction)

 DTC P26A3 (electric water valve malfunction)

To correct this problem, clear the DTC's and update the PGM-FI software with the latest version.
