  1. I’m new about the Hybrid car . I’m confused whether I should go for Honda Clarity 2018 model or not . Or any other regular Honda Model . The Delaer Offer me pretty good lease deal on Clarity 2018 ($ 1000 Down Payment & $139 for 36 months ) . The offer really competitive compare to other regular models . This is another reason I’m concerned that why they are offering such cheap lease deals for $40000 worth Cars .. Is it push sale ? Or will it be wise buying decision ? The way the flaws representative explain me about this car which is reallay awesome . But my qns is if that is really worthy to buy why don’t people buy it as a hot cake . It’s already one year passed since it’s launched but it not that much seems on the road . Need all of your kind opinion to reach out buying decision. Also worried about the electricity cost for each charge at my home. Is it really cost effective alternatives?

That's a great deal. Just make sure the 10,000 miles is not to restrictive for you. I got mine at 12,000 miles/year which fits my lifestyle for a bit more in monthly rate.

Why are they going right now at these good lease deals? End of model year as the 2019 model will come out soon and dealers want to reduce stock. Another reason as people have been slow to pick up on plug-in hybrids. The local dealer I used has an advocate for the car in the form of their Internet Sales person. If you look on youTube at all the reviews, you will find the Clarity is probably the best PHEV on the market at this time for the price.

That is a super deal. Make sure the seat is comfortable for you, it has less seat
adjustment than the Touring model. Also check your typically miles you drive per day. If it's less than 50 this car may work out well.

Someone else posted of similar deals in NY also.

Whether the plug-in capability is cost-effective depends on how expensive gas and electricity are in your area. If 14 kW of electricity costs you less than 1.2 gallons of gas (47 mi/42 mpg), then you win with a Clarity PHEV. However, the Clarity is so satisfying to drive under EV power that it's even worth it if your electricity costs the same or a little more than gasoline.

You came to the right place if you want to be talked into leasing a Clarity Plug-In Hybrid.

Have you test drove it yet? If not, ask them to fully charge the battery and then test drive it. You can't even get a Nissan Versa lease for that cheap. It's not selling well because Honda does not market it well or train their sales staff. Also most people don't fully understand EV and PHEV. They might look at it and say I can only drive 47 miles and I'll need to plug it in and not realize you can just drive it on gas only if you want. Cost to charge depends on how much you pay for electricity. The breakeven point is around 20 cents per kWh. It's the size of an Accord hybrid, with as good MPGs or even better in EV mode, with a lease price less than a Honda Fit. Sounds like a good deal to me. Better get it before it's gone.

That's a great deal. If it's really true. What state are you in? That has a lot to do with the deal you get at purchase, and how much of a savings running on electricity is over gas.

  15. Yeah Touring model has many options than the base model .. And it’s monthly payment is more i.e. $200.

  16. Is leasing The ClarityPlug-in Hybrid qualifies for a federal income tax credit worth up to $7,500? Or I have to buy it rather than lease for this tax credit eligibility ?

You won't get the $7500 credit, the dealer will. One reason why the lease price is low.

If you buy, you will get the $7500 credit.

You can also check free chargers in your area on chargepoint.com and plugshare.com. For example, there is a Kohls in Nassau County that has a charger for you to use if you shop there or near there.
