I went away for 10 days and was curious to see what would happen to the charge level on my Clarity while I was away. I fully charged it before I left and it was unplugged in the driveway while I was gone. Before I left, HondaLink showed 100% charged and 83km EV range. I checked HondaLink a few times while I was away and it always showed 100% until this morning when it changed to 99% (still 83km EV range). I returned home tonight, plugged in my car and it charged for 4 minutes for a whopping .17 kWh added at a total cost of $0.02 hydro. :)

Did it update the last update date line while you were away? I've been gone for over a week and it seems the car only reports in when an event happens, like it's turned on, off, charging starts or stops, or pre-conditioning starts or stops.

I didn't think it was updating anything either at first, but then it did update the ranges after about a week and the battery % after 9.5 days when it dropped to 99%. The parking reminder and odometer are still showing as of August 17th when I last drove it.

I went away for 9 days and was going to post my results, but they were pretty much the same as yours. Although I wasn't at 100% when I left, but I lost very little charge.

First thing I did when I got home was actually start up my car to see if there was any issues with it starting up (based on some post about 12V battery issues or something). It started up fine. I didn't charge it and went for a drive the next 2 days, and plugged into a free public charger to charge up. So zero cents for my hydro. :p

I read that keeping li Ion battery fully charged is not a good practice. I changed my charging cycle to start at 3am to minimize the amount of time the car sits fully charged.

LOL! I thought about whether to write "hydro" or "electricity" too! Although I've posted about the EVIP already on the Who is Waiting in Canada thread so I already gave away my Ontario-ness... :)
