What a relief! My car is here, it is beautiful, I drove it home 50km from the dealership and all is well. I used the ICE one time to accelerate out of a lane to give another car space to merge. It stayed on for a few minutes as others have reported then went back to "EV". No unusual or loud noise from the ICE. Maybe a little more road or tire noise than I was expecting... perhaps the tires need to break in or something.

The body plugs are installed, I checked when I got home. I took photos of both front plugs, couldn't find the back ones but I will check again. My charging cable was still taped shut and thoroughly wrapped in the trunk so was not used to charge the car nor was it tested. The dealership told me ahead of time they have their own charging station and the car had a full charge and a full tank of gas when I picked it up with 5 km on the odometer. :)

I received a blue book titled "2018 Clarity Plug-in Hybrid Owner's Guide", 159 pages, all in English. No NAV guide or any other booklets. Is this the owner's manual that some people have ordered from the parts department? Or is there another, larger version? I also received a red CD titled "2018 Warranty Information" and a link to www.hondahelp.ca for assistance if I have questions.

The Sirius XM radio is up & running on the 3-month trial. I had downloaded the HondaLink app a few days ago but nothing was working yet of course. I sat in the car and opened the App, and it already had my info and the VIN loaded into the app! Not exactly sure how that happened but I was pretty impressed that it was already all linked up. Right now the app shows it is charging and the percentage has increased, so that's cool.

The salesperson took a lot of time to help set up my phone, Android Auto, etc and walk me through all of the features of the car (until my brain hurt!) Wow there is a lot... this will take me a while to figure everything out! They are getting 10 stars for sure on the Honda Survey... did a great job and provided everything as promised.

Congrats! Welcome to the club. Isn't it great you educated yourself on the forum before you picked up your car?

The 587-page Owners Manual is much thicker and more comprehensive than the Owners Guide. The Nav manual is yet another book.

Thank you! Yes, this forum has been amazing. I've had a much shorter wait then others in Ontario, only a month for me, so it has been amazing to read all the posts and advice on here while I was (im)patiently waiting to get my very own Clarity! :) Of all the forums I've participated in, this one has the most helpful members who are very generous with knowledge without any drama. It's very refreshing. I took a photo of the full charge and full gas gauge and the salesperson gave me a funny look, so I told him about the forum and said I was taking the photo to brag about what a great job they did. :)

I will have to order the bigger manual and NAV guide. I like to have those things to reference, especially with a car as complex as this one.

    Thanks again!

Great picture. You look good next to a Clarity. I have the white also and after 5 months, I love it more every day. We’re all sure you will too.
Other Canadian posters have said that unlike the US where we order our manuals on line, you Canucks just go to the dealer and have them order it for you. Hope that helps.
Do you get a copy of the PID with 12v and traction battery test? If so, could you post the results. My dealer is still searching for mine.
Sounds like your dealer is more on the ball than most.

Thanks! :) I love the sparkly white... I had never seen it before I picked it up today. I've never purchased a car unseen before!

I did receive a copy of the PDI inspection checklist, but it looks like a generic Honda one so there is no reference to battery tests and no numbers written on it. It does have the body plugs checked off and they do appear to be installed.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get the EV range to display on the dash without going to that info screen? In the bottom right corner it shows the combined range, but I thought I saw a photo of the dash with the EV range displayed in the bottom left corner. Did I just imagine that??

Wow, I love that white color. And it *does* look like a storm trooper!

To get the EV range to display on the dash, press the "i" button on the left of the steering wheel and cycle over with the left-right pad. It's one of the settings with the gas tank on it.

The manual shows the selector button with an "i" and some pages:

Happy new owner! Only 1 month and all that service? You're so fortunate!

    Welcome to the PHEV Family!
I have come to appreciate the car more and more after the past few weeks - despite some minor issues that are manageable (ie overall performance of adaptive cruise, no parking sensors, etc) - still one of the overall best cars I have gone through (which includes a Pilot, Z4, 740i, genesis, etc)

What I'm wondering is if there is a way to have it display all the time, like the combined range, without having to be on that particular info screen in the display. My last car was a non-plug-in Sonata Hybrid and I always kept it on the energy-transfer screen that shows the gas and electric engine and which is doing what. I'm starting to wonder if I won't use that particular graphic as much with the Clarity because it runs on pure electric much more than the Sonata Hybrid did.

yes, you if you go into settings of the glued on android tablet and check off the "remember last screen on startup" or something along those lines... now that energy transfer screen always pops up automatically if I don't switch away.

I personally just use the EV / HV Range view. You will know it is regen charging anytime the arc-shaped meter falls into the green.
You will also know when the combustion engine is on when the arc-shaped meter loses the solid blue line and has a lot of white dashes

What the really should have done is added the EV range number to the Battery charge indicator on the Left side so you can always see it

That's EXACTLY what sold me on the white. Love it. I so want to put a big empire sign on the side doors ;)

To OP, looks like your dealer did a good job with the delivery. Don't think you'll have issues with over inflated tires since the car just arrived, but check them in any case.
