I hope I am just missing some but there does not seem to be a way to tell from the normal dashboard if the HV mode has been engaged. We only use HV on long highway trips. The only way we have figured out to be sure if the HV is on is to hit the HV button (which will then turn it off). I know the curving bar will not be solid if HV is on but it will be the same way if you have just switched to EV or the battery is low. Am I missing something? Thanks.

I think that HV mode because you press the button and HV mode because the battery is low are basically the same.

There is a green "EV Mode" light that will come on just below the shift position indicator when you are in EV mode. I don't think there is a specific indicator when the car is in HV mode.

You could also pull up the Vehicle Energy display on the center screen to see whether the engine is running.

Yes, but the engine could be running because I had pushed the accelerator too hard. I can tell by looking at the dash if I am in ECO mode. I'd like to have the same for HV (Pushing the button does not seem like the best option as it will turn it off if it is on and it only flashes on the dash for a moment). I hoped I was just being stupid and there was a clear maker for HV.

If you push the HV button, an HV mode symbol appears in the battery charge gauge. If you push and hold the HV button and the charge is less than about 48%, a charge symbol is added below the HV mode symbol. Once the battery is charged to about 48%, the car reverts to regular HV mode. Every time the car is turned off, it reverts to standard mode.

In standard mode, the EV is prioritized and the engine will only operate in certain driving situations such as very heavy acceleration. When the car is operating
in EV, "EV" appears under "Ready" which is under the shift letter on the dash to the top left of the larger power "tach". Anytime the engine is running, the green "EV" letters do not appear.

Thanks Dale. We finally got back into HV mode since I first posted this and I had a chance to see the HV symbol near the battery level. That is just what I needed. In my defense though, that is not where I would have expected to find this info.
