I just bought a 2023 Kona, this is my first electric car. Does anyone know if I can put an adapter one my 120v charger to plug into my 240v dryer plug? I have read that some have done this, but my charger says input/out is 120v I don’t want to ruin it if it can not.
I did it with the one that came with my 2021, assuming they are the same it will work. I would double check the model number of your EVSE and compare it to this list just to make sure. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1I0oo0Pbrc9JEeirO-p_154JadVJaxUm-r3UTUQwRUpE
My 2023 Kona came with a 120V charger that is listed in this doc. Tried it at Christmas to charge at my folks on 240. Worked perfectly. Twice as fast as on 120! Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Inside EVs
A 30 Amp EVSE is pretty low cost and will provide more than twice the power (and not need a hazardous adapter)
