I'm looking to compare and search for an EV or PHEV that has certain features. Does this site - or any other - have the ability to search and filter? Specifically, i'd like to find all 6+ seat vehicles that have a Plug. I've seen other people looking to find all vehicles with a US tow rating that have a plug. I know we can probably crowd-source answers to these and similar questions, but perhaps this site could add (or link to) that search functionality?
We don't have a searchable list, but InsideEVs has a plug-in comparison page. Also, we have members with pretty good knowledge of what's out there, and could probably help you narrow things down, given parameters like budget, necessary features and use case.
I think that's going to be a very short list. I'm not sure this list is complete, but so far as I know, in the U.S. market that would be only: Tesla Model X Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid (a PHEV) ...and supposedly coming soon, but delayed multiple times: Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV The Tesla Model S can also be configured with seating for 5+2, with the "2" being rear-facing jump seats for children and small adults willing to climb in and out of the rear hatch. There are also commercial vehicles such as the Nissan e-NV200 van which probably can be configured to fit your description, altho I doubt that's what you had in mind.
Tesla x and Pacifica phev was my list. I'm not holding my breath that the outlander will have a third row when (if it makes it to the us). I'd really like a towing capacity - even 1000lbs would suffice. Maybe I'll get lucky with the outlander there too.. Of course, if we wait long enough there may be more options.
So, basically, you need something with a third row that, preferably, can tow. I can't really think of anything else available besides the Tesla Model X and Pacifica Hybrid either. What else was on your list?
That was my list. I'm pretty sure Chrysler doesn't officially support towing with the phev (but would be happy to hear a verified fact on this one way or the other) I wonder in a wiki-database of car features could help facilitate searches like this. That pretty much how the plug-in comparison list published on this site started (if I remember correctly)
Seems like you already know more than those responding to you. If you're willing to do the research, you can Google every single vehicle on the list here along with the phrase "seating capacity": InsideEVs' Monthly Plug-In Sales Scorecard (Click on the list for easier viewing.) I, too, would be interested to know if there is something else on your list. I may have missed something.
Volvo XC90 T8 has three rows and is rated to tow 5000 pounds. Model S does not have a US tow rating and Nissan has not (yet) announced plans to bring the e-NV200 to the US.
Good call! According to the Volvo website, it seats up to seven and the "Momentum" package starts at $64,950. The PHEV is the most powerful version, I think, with 400 HP and 472 lb-ft of torque. It only has a 9 kWh battery, though, so the EPA range is 14 miles. Driven softly, it can get 21 miles of range. Small print on regarding tax credit: "The 2018 XC90/S90/XC60 T8 PHEV qualifies for a US Federal Tax Credit of $5,002 under current Federal Tax guidelines." In a comparison drive, it dominated the BMW X5 40e, which, by the way, doesn't have the third row option its non-PHEV variants have.
