I just got my Clarity and notice there is no coin tray? If not, where do you put your coins?

What are these 'coins' that you speak of?

We keep a coin purse in our center console.

That middle tray is getting a lot of stuff that was spread out more on my Civic Hybrid. I can think of at least two cubbies that are missing. I put my change in an old Altoids tin in the middle tray.

The space under the gear selector is almost useless for anything besides the phone. Lots of space, not much use.. (for me, so far, ymmv, etc.)

What I'm really missing is the gear shifter that I hung the trash bag on...

What's wrong with putting your change in the cupholders? That's what I've done in most of my previous vehicles.

In fact, the little fold-down tab thingy means you can put a moderate-sized cup in and it won't even be sitting on top of the change. It's like it's designed that way!

Driver's side door handle also. Mints and charge station RFIDs. Really don't know why Honda left these features out. Yeah, they are less aero, but who really pays attention to the aerodynamic efficiency of the climate control system!

I wish there was a small pull out tray or cubby to stash my change and emergency cash. The center storage box doesn't even have a sliding tray like most cars. The tray below the gear selector is too big and a waste of space. I wish it was a double decker, one on top of the other. Spare change on bottom tray and my phone on top.

Have you thought about the small pockets on the backside of each of the front seats?

With EZ-Pass for tolls and parking meters that take credit cards, I find little use for coins in the car.

I put the change in the cup holder. They are way too deep for normal thermos and travel mugs

The cup holders have a pull-down shelf that makes them shallower. Good for shorter cups, bad for coins.

I completely relate! I proudly sewed a fabric trash bag for my new car, only to realize (Ugh!) there's nothing to hang it on. My kids and hubby had a good laugh :)

The traditional gear selector isn’t only good for hanging trash bags; it’s also really good for selecting gears. Every driver in the world understands the P-R-N-D-L interface, just as every typist understands QWERTY. These may not be the most logical ways to arrange things, but they’re universal and therefore not worth replacing.

Clarity, give us back our shift lever/trash bag hooks!

I agree with you that Honda is trying to fix something that wasn't broken, but I am seeing this push button selector in more and more Honda cars. They are all-in on this.
