It's almost 2 months since I submitted the application, there is no update at all. Earlier owners who bought in January, have you got your rebate yet?

Submitted mine April 17th and still nothing.

I've heard it can take anywhere between 3 - 6 months depending on the application queue.

  4. I submitted mine (for both EV and charge station) April 4th and I have heard nothing as well. I will post when mine comes in.

    Really!? That is surprising...

I guess there was a rush of people purchasing electric vehicles prior to March 9th and a whole bunch of submissions followed.

    Day 43 and counting.

  8. I inquired about he delay and here is the response:

Hi Ken thank you for your inquiry,
We are processing EVC applications we received March 9th
Unfortunately due to our system upgrades to accommodate the new EHVI Program, announced March 9, 2018, these applications are on hold until the system changes have been completed. We hope to begin processing these by mid-May.

    Thank you for your patience.

Shortly after submitting my applications for the car and charger rebates a couple of weeks ago, I called them and was told that it would likely take about 3 months to get my funds.

I think it’s safe to assume 4-6 months. They are currency averaging 4 months and worst they have been backlogged has been 6 months. So probably between those 2 dates will be likely.

Submitted Apr 21st, and nothing yet.
On May 23rd I asked if there was an ETA, and they said "we are processing applications we have received March 19th" so they were a month+ behind.

Just to clarify here, for all of you that submitted the application, were all of your bill of sales all dated the date of delivery? I'm just worried they may take that as date of ordering since i don't have a single document, except the previous bill of sale, that shows I ordered in April. I received the car after July 11 and got a new bill of sale since my trade-in car needed a new reappraisal. Ugh so nerve-wracking, I'm hoping they verify through Honda.

I don't think the dates matter in your case. As long as your vehicle was ordered by the dealer prior to July 11th and delivered to you prior to Sept 10th, you will receive the rebate. The order date is only significant if you ordered prior to the March 9th change from $14k down to $13k, to qualify for the extra $1000.

The dealer supposedly submitted your name and order information to the ministry when you put in your deposit, that's how they know if you have the $14k or $13k rebate (at least that's what my dealer told me).

Anyway, my dealer deal with the rebate and deduct my $14k directly from the sale price when I finally get my car in 2-3 weeks after waiting for 6 months

I would have preferred this. Unfortunately my dealer didn’t offer to redeem the incentive in my behalf.

For those that purchased the vehicle and did not lease, what did you put in the field specifically asking about the lease (section B4)?

Just got an email this morning from "Grantsontariosystem" stating that they are processing the rebate submitted by my dealership by Electronic Funds Transfer for the EHVIP program and they were crediting $13k in a few business days.

The problem is, the dealership applied for the credit for me, reduced my purchase price by $14k and should qualify for the full $14k. I ordered in mid Feb and had my name submitted in March when the gov't changed the program to EHVIP (and lowered the rebate to $13k) and asked dealerships to submit all orders.

I assume the dealership submitted the rebate shortly after delivery on June 18th. So it took a month and a week to process.

Grantsontariosystem provided the following contact info for queries M-F 8:30am-5pm.
