  1. I am looking at the Kia Sorento PHEV and I haven't seen any user reviews.
Anybody has any experience with this SUV?

Personally, I wouldn't buy one after my experience with my Sonata PHEV.

I would be concerned with the traction battery cooling in Houston. I don't think it's liquid cooled.

  4. Thanks for the advice

If you are looking for a PHEV or BEV, make sure you buy one with a traction battery degradation warranty that guarantees at least 70% of the original capacity at 8 years or 100,000 miles.

  6. Great advice, Thanks

My son just bought a 2022 Kia Sorrento plug in hybrid with 23000 miles on the odo.

He noticed very hard shifting and took it in for service. the dealer re-flashed the transmission computer but the hard shifting continued.

Long story short it’s at the Kia dealer who is replacing the current transmission with a new unit.

He was told that they had done three others with the same problem. Thankfully it’s covered under warrantee because the cost to replace by a Kia dealer is around $14,000.

I would really think hard before I bought one.
