It's worth underscoring the legroom - I'm 6'5" and don't have the seat all the way back - a first for me. I'm so glad there's no sunroof, which had always reduced my headroom.

He complains a lot about (lack of) lumbar support, but I'm > 50 with some back problems in my past and have no trouble with the seat in this clarity.

This is the most comfortable drive I've ever owned.

Weird. I am 6’4” and have the seat all the way back.

I am happy with the legroom but in a perfect world I’d love to be able to move the seat back a little bit more.

KBB's PHEV Comparison says the Clarity's acceleration is just "in the adequate range," but achieved 56.2 electric miles vs only 53.3 in the Volt.

Guess it's a question of where your legs start & end...:p

I think his conclusion is the best part of the review - it's "normal." You can just get in, drive it like your everyday sedan, and enjoy great efficiency and a great ride. But Honda - PLEASE - how much would lumbar support really cost (cut the reviewer b*******)? Also, bring more Accord styling into the design to camouflage the air ducts - surely that woudn't squeeze the aerodynamics that much...

I guess I should stop complaining about the niggles the complainers throw at the Clarity (you know, the fugly quotes when they obviously have never seen a Prius Prime) - if that is all they can complain about then we've already won!

Exactly, my height is in my Torso, only 6' tall but my head rubs on the ceiling in most cars. Need 39" of headroom. Why I like cars like the i3 and Bolt EV. Clarity is fine, I too am thankful no sunroof. I always dislike that Honda requires those in premium trims as those cars never have enough headroom. Why I haven't looked at Honda cars in years.

  10. Finally, got a chance to watch this today and thought it was pretty great. Looks like he was pushing it pretty hard at a couple points.
