thanks for the link for the adapter! jeez, that's expensive! well worth it, i think there will be knock-offs, but i couldn't take the chance seats are very comfortable i'm coming from all leather, so everything on the io has a great feel we got the gray cloth with the white p-leather console and door panels, etc extremely well-appointed my wife didn't care, so i picked i'm in Cary, a Raleigh suburb you're in NC, right? Johnson is the highest volume Hy dealer in NC, and brought in the first load to NC i've never seen a 5 on the streets here, and i now own one! we had a Mach-E A-plan order from Dec 3, and by Feb 3, nobody knew nothing Mach-E forums are reporting other Dec orders are getting build dates of late August my wife couldn't wait, even though we'd lose the A-plan pricing and she's born/raised in Dearborn, MI ffs i grumbled, because i loved the MME, but only the highest trim levels get V2L when i secretly saw the 77kw Ioniqs get V2L, i agreed but pretended to be huffy about it and now i'm huffy that the adapter is $550, and not already in the trunk! come see Damion in Cary and roll out with one that same day! Finance folks were great, in and out in 15 mins, btw
and my next question, for you guys... where is that damn setting to turn the screen to dark mode? i looked everywhere
When you're the first to get a new type of car, YOU'RE the one who's supposed to learn everything to tell others. What does the Option Menu do? I don't have an Ioniq 5, so I can't tell. Copied from the PDF version of the Ioniq 5 Owner's Manual
Can some one shed some light on what additional features are available on Limited vs SEL? Is the movable center console & Driver foot rest etc available in Limited edition in US?
Limited brings a memory driver seat, ventilated seats, Bose sound, Vision moon roof, and the V2L receptacle in the back row. AWD limited gets 20" wheels. Right now there are no RWD limiteds. Range decreases from RWD SEL 303 to AWD LIM 256 miles.
Does anyone know if IONIQ 5 will add a rear window wiper in the 2023 model. Have seen speculations on that for a while, but is there anything from Hyundai regarding that (positive or negative). I’d wait for that if I know it’s coming later this year. Still going back and forth between Cyber Gray and Lucid Blue (Gray interior) AWD Limited.
The rumor I read was that Hyundai will add a wiperless rear camera to compensate for the wiperless rear window. There has never been the slightest hint that Hyundai/Kia will reconsider their deletion of the rear window wiper their earlier EVs included.
US didn't get Heated Rear Seats, Relaxation Power Passenger Seat, Power Rear Seats, Glove Drawer and more that other markets got so getting something no one got is on the slim side of probable.
Out of Spec made a cool video showing all three trims beside each other. This seems like a good thread for it (@GaryClark, if you don't like it here, happy to move).
I've watched and appreciate the video contribution of the PDF details. Kyle has a keen eye and is a great enthusiast. Unfortunately as an "insider" "reservation holder" didn't bring the trim I wanted within 4 hours of my stated zip code and only yielded two emails over six months and finally a phone call to verify the closest dealer had called me with their only SEL sold to a resident of a non-participating state. The closest trim I reserved is currently is 7 to 8 hours and most of those are $4K to $7K over MSRP. I can only hope at this point they allow me to order a 2023 from the dealer of my choosing. I may have to wait a second year from my deposit to bear fruit but at least I'll hopefully get a LCD/Mirror and the active suspension tune they're adding. Who knows, maybe they'll spring for a lockable storage area in the car. I'm not normally hard to please but clearly other markets got choices and the North America market got what was left over of run #1 of the 2022. Great #100 show today.
There are SE & SEL, but real few “Limited” (none in the south). Five Hyundai dealers in south Florida indicated they do not expect to receive the Limited for at least two months …… this could change!
I’m looking for an AWD gray exterior with gray / (dark green) interior. Frankly, either this or the AWD Q4; whichever I can get my hands on first. I even installed a level 2 in the garage already (thought the Q4 would be here by now).
Audi Q4 e-tron should have been here by now. Not sure what the story is, but I'd bet it's related to supply chain issues.
For those who have financed their ioniq 5, did you use Hyundai Motor Finance or outside lender? What are typical rates for EV vs ICE, lower or higher? Sent from my iPhone using Inside EVs
The Q4 keeps being pushed back, at least according to the two dealers near me. Besides supply chain issues, I wonder if its also possible the initial shipment sunk recently on Felicity Ace.
The only I5 in the south region with this trim & color is scheduled to arrive to Hickory, NC Hyundai dealer on March 31. This is 665 miles away from me …… who knows what markup will be added ….. will pass.
