    good morning. I was out and about this morning when I received multiple vehicle alerts that required immediate attention. I drove straight to the dealership. The alerts that I received are;
    Engine systems problem
    adaptive Cruise Control Problem
    RDM Problem
    Emission Systems Problem
    Brake system Problem

    What the heck do you think is going on?

    Not happy,
    Nancy

    In the context of all of the comments from folks who've driven 1000s of miles in the Clarity, and the generally outstanding track record of Honda autos, I'd say that it's terrible that you've had that problem but it's unusual. Also would guess that such a sudden problem has a specific root cause, and that the multiple alerts are a cascade from that root problem. Just speculating, of course.

    There are several threads about this, if you do a search for "Multiple System Warnings" you will find one of them.

    To answer your question - probably nothing is going on. Only one report of anything needing to be repaired. For the rest of us reporting the problem the dealer either clears the codes or they go away after a restart. It's probably good to take it to the dealer IF they report it to Honda as a software bug.

    It could be a lot less serious than it seems. My old 4Runner had a leaking gas cap for which there is a pressure sensor in the car. The dash lit up like a Christmas tree showing several faults such as Check Engine, and a few 4 wheel drive indicators. Once the gas cap was replaced all of the lights turned off.

    Thank you. Yes, I did find that thread and I have posted under that thread as well. I will let everyone know what error codes come up.

    And by the way - we're now over 7,000 miles and it has not reoccurred.

    Nancy - what did the shop say?

    Geo, pretty unchanged what others reported. My service advisor said it was a variable timing control that malfunctioned and that set off the cascade of alerts. They reset the codes, gave it a test drive, gave it a quick wash and I picked it up at 3:00. I am hoping this will be a one off. But....I think any of us that experience this need to go to the dealership because Honda needs to be aware of this issue.

    Thanks for following up with me.

    Probably good idea to report it directly to Honda National, too!

    Probably a dirty sensor in the front.
