  1. Genesis has taken an interesting approach to revealing the GV60, a premium crossover based on the Hyundai E-GMP platform.

First, it did a design reveal in August. Then, last week it released the cars (very impressive) specs. 77.4 kWh and a 4-second 0 to 60 among them.

Now, it's put out this video to bring it all together. Check it out.

  3. I'm getting tired of these slow reveals. I wish Genesis would just give the car to some reviewers to test out and also let us know the US pricing so that I can decide if this car is worth waiting for.

  4. They're stalling because it is not ready yet. Same goes with a lot of new cars coming out. I think the chip shortage has something to do with this.

  5. I get that, but with a lack of information, rumors (and misinformation) tends to run rampant. I've watched pretty much every YouTube video there is on the GV60 as well as read any article I could find, and saw the starting price in the US range from low US$50's to mid to upper US$60's. This level of speculation is not doing Genesis any favors.

  6. Charlie's reviews of the IONIQ 5 were interesting and he continues it with the GV60 drive - this car looks awesome.

  8. I agree. Unfortunately, my dealer doesn’t think they’ll have them until fall of 2022.

  9. They're all trying to get pre-orders, to defray production costs - at MSRP. While this Genesis looks like a terrific package, I'll buy a Chinese Skywell if Imperium motors successfully imports them.

In my year with my KIA Niro EV it's become clear that US service of EVs will be hampered by dealers sabotaging (slowboating) repairs and pushing ICE vehicles.

Perhaps Genesis will at least offer a loaner car to GV60 owners while the car languishes in the service bay, waiting for parts.

If I must pay retail, it will be the least expensive offering.

If Genesis is looking for pre-orders, they are not doing a very good job. The Genesis Canada site does not show a glimpse of the GV60 or any EV for that matter. I was looking for a reservation list to add my name to thinking availability might be better than for the Ionic 5. This is a great example of how not to market your product.
