Does anyone know how to add a maintenance record to the owner's portal on the Kia website? On Hondas and Toyotas I've owned I've been able to add my own record for oil changes, tire rotations and such but I can't figure out how to do that with Kia. As an aside, when I looked at the maintenance record on the portal it showed that the 7,500 mile maintenance on my 2020 Niro EV was completed the day I bought it (it had about 130 miles). Go figure. Thanks in advance.
KIA will almost certainly contact you at the 7,500 mile mark to make sure you get in there for your FREE Oil Change! ;^) I have a Toyota Tundra and I don't recall ever seeing a way to track my DIY maintenance records on their websites. Do you know, if you do this update on their portals, does it carry over to the Car Fax databases? I intend to drive my Toyotas until one of us dies, but I could see the value in doing the data entry if it was carried forward into these other databases. It would be handy just for my record keeping - as it is now, my maintenance records end up getting tracked in my home finances application, which is less than ideal. And if I did decide to sell, I could use the manufacturer's portal to show the entries to a potential buyer, if they were interested.
Toyota.com has a link to an owners page at the top, and that's where I used to go to enter my own maintenance. It also tracked maintenance performed by the dealer. I don't know if it carries over to Car Fax, but I doubt it.
Click "Complete" at the interval you did it at and it'll give you options to add your own items and comments. If it's already completed/passed, go to history and edit the maintenance item to change it.
