Max Level 1 for SE is 15 A, according to the Motoring Guide. Just make sure to set it to max charge rate.

  5. Alright, so let me pick your brain.

Wait until “Awaiting Carrier Assignment” and then call ASK MINI for the ship’s name -or- wait until “Dispatched from Factory”?

I would wait until "In Transit". I tried to call during "awaiting carrier" and they could not give me a ship name yet.

So....revised theoretical ship schedule for me based on looking at my ship's last trip. Last night it moved a short distance from the Port of Baltimore to Dunkalk. On its last trip it stayed there one day and then was in Brunswick, GA, two days later. So I am estimating land fall April 10th. Then my Mini has to have some add-ons applied and transported the short distance up to SC. I might finally be in the home stretch.

@mikeg0305 and @bldxyz - what are your current estimates? It will be nice to finally see some pics / videos of 2022s by our forum members.

My boat doesn’t arrive until April 15. It is the Local, making four stops before Oxnard. Then it’ll take some port stuff, and a car carrier to bring it up I-5... and the dealer turns it around by April 19, I’ll pick it up then.. otherwise, it’ll sit at the dealer for a week since I’m going on a road trip. Man, I wanted to take the new car!

bmartinez has the Express boat. His ship made one stop and the next one is Oxnard. His arrives port on April 14, and since he’s in Southern California, his doesn’t have to take a day on the car carrier.

    You are very likely first!

Oh my Mini order looks identical to yours (color-wise). Just went to paint today and scheduled for completion tomorrow. I wonder if production schedule is based on paint color?

Congrats! That was the most exciting part. Now... once your car gets on a boat, you have 24 day journey from Southampton to Oxnard. I have found that part to be the most interminable! (At least, so far, as my boat is still a week or more away from arriving!)

  14. From a logistics standpoint it makes sense. I’ve been watching the videos of how they make them and it’s pretty wild. To which port will yours be headed?

Awesome! Hope your wait at port is not long!

    Brunswick, GA

I'm in Atlanta, so hopefully not too long from Port to dealer, but who knows how long it takes to get a carrier and make it over. Probably need to look into getting an EVSE now ...

Ah - yours will probably follow the same route my ship is doing. I'm north of you in Greenville, SC. Here is what you might expect:
    • The recent UK port delay to get on a carrier is averaging 9 days (low 5 days - high 11 days)
    • Southampton to Port of Baltimore: a week to cross the ocean (then my ship floated off Virginia for an extra week before entering Baltimore - don't know why)
    • In Baltimore for about 24 hours
    • Then it moves a short distance across the channel to the Port of Dunkalk for about 24 hours
    • Then it goes to Brunswick, Georgia. My salesperson just emailed me that he is showing the ship arriving in Brunswick tonight. But mine just cleared the channel up near Baltimore. I thought it took 2 days to come down the coast. But we'll see.

Oh thanks for the great info! Looks like it still might be a while then. But at least it appears my car is done with the build - "AWAITING CARRIER ASSIGNMENT"

And don’t get mad when someone else’s ship jumps yours inline like mine did to GvilleGuy .

Any idea where your Mini is? Should be on a truck, right?
