I had the all-time average at 2 weeks at the UK port. But close enough! Either way it's hard to sit through every day when you've been waiting for months already. 22.02.19 Delivery Times by GvilleGuy posted Feb 19, 2021 at 4:01 PM
Order my Electric Collection Cooper SE about a week ago and just got a production number & VIN. Status is production begins. I'll add my info to the spreadsheet.
Fantastic! The Island Blue? We will all want to see and hear all about that. By the way, how did the price of the Electric Collection compare to Signature + and Iconic trims? Sent from my iPad using Inside EVs
Total price is $38250 with destination. I did add Active Cruise, Heated Steering Wheel. As well as panoramic. Not a fan of some the forced options especially the cloth seats but really wanted the blue.
I believe so, the Electric Collection includes 3B3 Electric Collection Graphics. I’ll be interested to see how the look in person. I’ll make sure to share a video.
This is interesting. We ordered a 22 Signature+ which includes Heated Steering Wheel and Panoramic moonroof. Only extra charge was leather and alarm @ $500 each. Total with Dest is $35,750. I read the Collection Edition is based on the Sig+ but why the extra $3k.
Not likely. There is no more effective way to slow the inexorable passage of time than to be waiting for a new MINI Cooper SE.
Electric Collection costs $2750 on top of Sig+ and looking at it more the only charged extra is Active Cruise. Unlike the UK heated steering is standard in Sig+. Panoramic is a no charge option as by default the multi tone roof does not come with it. I do see it on my spec sheet.
Yeah, and now that mine is on a boat... there are an expected (according to ASK MINI) 24 more days before the boat gets to the destination port. So that time is super-slow! Jeez!
I did get the ship name, and I can track it. Unfortunately, it stops along the way, so the present first stop is at Cartegena, on April 2. I will only be able to tell if it keeps on track for that date to that point, and then see what the next stop may be. Could be it stops somewhere else, but maybe not, as the destination port was originally specified as Oxnard, CA (Southern California). It could be that I drive it back down to Southern California within days of it being trucked up to Northern California!
I’m tracking via MarineTraffic.com, and I created a “fleet” with mine and @bldxyz ships. His is in the open ocean. My ship just pulled away from the dock! Mine is supposed to get to Georgia on April 4th. I believe it is headed to Maryland first. So I’m 13 days from it hitting the port in Georgia, and then the port will apply some Botox treatments (bonnet stripes, roof rack). I asked my sales guy this morning, and he said the additional stuff gets applied before it gets to the dealer in SC.
This marine app is wild. The past 20 minutes I watched my ship virtually pull away from the dock and two tug boats turn it around.
Oh my gosh - I knew that there was a live port cam on YouTube for Southampton. I pulled it up just as my ship came into view!! That was surreal. I jumped up and showed it to my wife and daughter, who looked at me like I’m crazy. “But my car is on that ship!”
That's really cool! By the way - I'm pretty close to joining in the fun of ship tracking soon. My car left "dispatched from factory" and is now at "at port". I presume I have to wait for it to switch to "in transit" before I can call up ASK-MINI to request info about which ship it's on?
Great! I’m glad your car is close, as well. Yes, as soon as it goes “in transit” you can call and get the ship name. Mine was at the port for 11 days.
