I found this site: https://eu-evs.com/ that tracks EV registrations on a daily basis for 3 countries - Norway, Netherlands and Spain. It does currently show ID.4 registrations in Netherlands starting about a week ago, but nothing so far in Norway or Spain. There is a fellow in the Netherlands who got his a week or so ago, and has a Youtube channel "Hello ID4". While UK isn't in this site, the ID.4 specific page on the UK-based speakev.com is quiet.
Thanks for sharing. I'm checking it out, but I don't see ID.4 in the menu. I did find ID.3... *edit to add: Ok, I did find ID.4 numbers when I looked at the entire brand.
I am starting to see deliveries in Norway and Spain. I hope that Bjorn will have more in-depth reviews available in the near future.
Stumbled across something else - a German site where people talk about their ID.4 that is on order. https://www.goingelectric.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=464&t=60435&start=330 People are speaking German, of course - my Chrome browser automatically translates. From there I found this youtube clip: Also in German (you can turn on auto-translation to English subtitles in youtube). But it shows a huge parking lot - filled with ID.4. Speculation is that they are awaiting software updates before delivery to customers (possibly in the Feb/Mar timeframe). In the UK customers of the ID.3 are getting software updates to version 2.0, with a version 2.1 coming soon. Fortunately they speak English: https://www.speakev.com/threads/id-3-software-updates-2-0-and-2-1.155322/ Dealers struggle with these updates (esp 2.0), so it makes sense for VW to deliver them already updated. OTA is eventually coming - the claim is that the 2.1 update enables this.
Yeah, NextMove can be a good source of info. Here's a still from their video showing a VW ID.4-filled parking lot. It's attached to a tweet claiming they're delayed until April. "ID.4 delivery delayed to April A lot of vehicles standing in hidden parking lots likley waiting for software updates Same procedure as with the ID.3 Source: Nextmove"
