This is great! Chevy needs to roll with the comparison and counter it. It helps the Volt name by connecting to the Prius name! Yes the prius is better, but I think joining in the Prius conversation will help with losing sales to your own product (Bolt)

It really depends upon the user's requirements. There are cases where a Volt or some other ride might better match a user's requirements ... even if that particular car doesn't match the requirements of others.

Of course. Honestly, I would choose a volt over a prius prime. I just think overall, objectively the prius offers much more.

Well! You certainly have tabs on me. First window I happened to fall on, stated my name, new member 88 (my age) and said I had just read about Volt vs Prime.
Of course being a Volt owner, albeit only a 2012 recently acquired March this year I must say I love my Volt and even though I live in the country and some 20 km away from the closest town (population just over ten thousand) the car serves me perfectly. Even with a trip of about 260 kms and two other trips of 150 each, I have spent the grand some total $42.00, Canadian eh! There are few and far between days that the Volt is not called on to go somewhere. Next summer Kia and Hyundai are both coming out with a BEV in a small crossover which I have my eye on for my dear spouse, if the range is 200+miles (322+ kms.).
Just one other quick note: What are the chances on Reanaut Zoe coming to

  8. This is interesting and raises a fundamental question; what is the need? Most people buy what they want - heavily influenced by marketing - instead what they need. That is why in front of many two car garages you will see two full size SUVs. (In front of the garage, because the garage is full of junk.)

It would be interesting to come up with an 'app' where potencial car buyers could enter the way the car will be used and get options. For some the Volt would come up as the best solution, for others the Prime.

-I considered the Prime but the low EV range would result in using gas every day and $8500 more in government rebates sealed the deal on the Volt.
