    Hi,

I just upgraded from the 2019 model to 2020 practically for free!). I noticed that the side console (where you put your phone) is more slippery in the 2020 model. My phone now slides around the console whenever I make a turn. Anyone know how to deal with this?

    Thanks!

There is a optional rubberized mat that most people acquired to make that space less slippery. Are you sure the 2019 didn't have this in place? As nothing changed on the Clarity line since 2018 to 2021 except the pedestrian Star Trek sound when driving slow.

It's certainly possible that my 2019 model had a rubberized mat, but if it was there I didn't put it. I don't see the dealer mentioning it in the paperwork either. Do dealers ever add those accessories or do owners buy them themselves?

Thanks! Looks like it should also fit the 2020 model. I wonder why Honda doesn't include it as standard.

Is it rubbery? I saw some discussions about this being just plastic and still rubbery.

Here is a bunch of mats for all the nooks/crannies in the Clarity. I got this a few months ago, and has been great!

There are a variety of color trim options. I got my with blue trim, which, I don't currently see listed.

Didn’t notice any difference in slipperiness in 2018, 2019, 2020.

The smaller pieces are for the sills of the doors, such as in the door handles and doorside cupholders/bins, and one of the larger pieces is for the centre armrest bin.
This is taken from a different listing, but it has all the same pieces:

I'm thinking about buying the set for the centre console and bin mats alone. The cupholder mats are just bonus.

  17. I've got that one too. Great value

Thanks to this forum for suggesting this mats kit from Amazon, works quite nicely in particular the price. I ordered the original Honda center console mat from Honda and it was $50 CAD. The whole kit from Amazon US even after exchange rate, still cheaper! One piece I noticed is the rear seat cup holder mat, it's too small as the 2020 has a large and small cup holders in the rear center console. The one I got it's identical size for both cup holders! Not a big deal but thought I would mention it.

You've noted a previously unmentioned variation to the 2020 Clarity. Do the rear arm-rest cup-holders in the 2020 Canadian Clarity get a door/cover like the US Claritys have always had?

Did you get the cupholderhero brand from amazon?

Ah, the one I have it doesn't have a door/cover, just cupholder holes.

When we picked up our 2020 Clarity my wife and I thought the dash material, console material, and steering wheel were all smoother to the touch than our 2018 model.
