Lucid Motors has an SUV in the works, apparently, and a prototype is already on the road. The news comes straight from the mouth of CEO Peter Rawlinson during an interview with E For Electric (below). Rawlinson says it rides on the same platform of the Air, their sedan that just received a 517-mile range certification by a 3rd-party using the EPA test. The video also has a rendering of what the Lucid SUV could look like, but it's not very appealing (sorry). Rawlinson also mentions they have a ten-year road map involving other platforms and vehicles. It should be interesting to see what they can come up with. It's tough to build a car company from scratch and these future designs, including this SUV, are make or break.
Saw a supposed photo of both Lucid vehicles posted on this site. Station wagon back end on SUV which is automatic fail. Lucid is at best an acquisition play. Didn't realize how bad the side view rear end on thr sedan was.
Yes, both the Air sedan and the SUV were caught on camera. They were posted here: https://twitter.com/mvahead/status/1294440056682237953 and https://twitter.com/mvahead/status/1294441235654959106 Here are the best two shots of the SUV.
