Have had Clarity for over 2 months now, 1713 kilometers on it and haven't burnt any gas since I got back. I have a GE level 2 charging station I purchased from Costco last year for my Prius ($599.99) Also installed a kilowatt meter on it so I can keep track on my usage and cost. Transferred my dashcam from the Prius to the Clarity and added a camera to the front license plate to prevent scuffing the front bumper from curbs. Installed some lights under the dash and front consul and cell phone holder on one side and iPad holder on the other side of consul. Purchased a set of wheels with winter tires from the dealer and their floor matt and splash guard protection package. Checked with WeatherGuard about their mats for Clarity but were not available yet. The Honda mats were laser cut and look pretty good so will probably stay with them. During February and March, I was getting in the 50s Ev range dropping to 40s as temperatures dropped then up in the 60s, now in April in the 70s, today it was 79.8 kilometers, that is 49.5 miles, very happy about that and the temperature is still in the minus below zero area, was -16 last night, -4 during the day.(May soon catch up to the Volt EV range.) Clarity is in a heated garage so that must help. So far the only issue I have had is no FM or AM on the radio which I will have checked out next time I go to the dealer in a few months. The dealer is about 450 kilometers away so not looking forward to that as I will have to burn some gas. Still, prefer the high beam lights I had on the Prius will get used to the Clarity. Only gassed up once so haven't seen the gas range variations that I have seen in some of the postings but will be keeping an eye on that.

Just want to confirm, you are getting almost 80km range guesstimate when the outside temp is below 0C while the car is in a heated garage? Does the guesstimate drop after a few km driven outside?

Wife just got back from town with the Clarity, 1725 on the odometer when she left, 1713 on the odometer when she got back, 1725 - 1713 = 12 kilometers. EV range was 79.8 when she left, 67.8 when she got back, 79.8 - 67.8 = 12 kilometers, so EV range did not drop more than normal. Also was lucky buying the Clarity in February to get the $14,000 incentive which we received in 3 weeks as the incentives have since dropped to $13,000 as of March/9/2018. Very happy with Clarity so far way ahead of the Prius we owned and catching up to the Volt in EV range, will post as we get closer. A few things that may be helping is using the regen paddles whenever possible and only using climate control when necessary.

Picture of the front camera in action please? Does it integrate with the main display? Parking sensors is one thing I miss on this car.

Front camera is only for Honda Sense and does not give a visual display.

Picked up a backup camera on sale and installed it on the front license plate, adjustable for any angle so good to see the top of the curb. The only downside is it is a backup camera so the picture is reversed but is still good enough to prevent any of the bumper damage or scrapes. As Ev owners, we know how low these vehicles are for aerodynamics. I had some scrapes on my Prius. I mounted the display on the left side out of the way, does not bother vision or clutter up the center of the dash. I wired a switch on the left side beside the other controls the other, so can be turned on as you approach a curb, (there is a switch knockout here). Works well so far, if they fail will install a better quality one. Have installed one on my 2006 Honda Ridgeline 3 years ago and still working good. Purchased the first Honda Ridgeline 12 years ago and had no problems so not too worried about the Clarity being new. The only downside is that I have to go to a Honda Clarity dealer for service which is 450 kilometers away instead of a local Honda dealer which is only 170 kilometers away. Has anyone tried one of those 110 volt level 2 chargers that Ebay has for sale?
Are they really faster than the one that came with my car?

What is this wire? It looks like a block heater.

Nice, easy to remember license plate too!

  17. Your car's internal charger limits you to 8 amps at 110 V.
110 V is generally not considered level 2.

Nice neat install Armandy, especially the switch and no wires hanging out. Hats off to you, sir!
