Small issues/quirks

This has happened to me twice. I also notice that the phone tends to get very hot, causing the phone to have very odd behaviors until it cools down. Hmm...

Item (1) Its either software crash or low 12V battery see this thread:

Have not had it happen since topping off the 12V battery.
Not sure about item (2) but may be related , check the no load (minimal load) voltage is 12.6V or higher

I haven’t had any of these issues. And I have an iPhone X too
 
Somebody may already have posted this, but I'm not going to search through 14 pages to find it.

The cord that attaches the cargo cover to the rear door is very flimsy. I had a box in the cargo area that was just large enough so that the cover didn't lie flat, but I did not remove the cover. It didn't seem at the time that it would cause a problem, however when I went to open the rear door the cover apparently caught on something and ripped the cord right out of its end piece. I didn't force the door at all but just pulled it hard enough to get it moving. Had to remove the cord on the other side as well because if I leave it connected the cargo cover comes right off its hinges.

Hopefully the dealer will take care of this for me.

Those things are always cheap garbage. My last three cars the first thing I did was pull those out and chuck them in the basement. I still have them, pristine, even though the cars were traded in years ago! Security be damned. They are a nuisance and, as you pointed out, a cheap one.
 
The cargo cover seems very cheap, but it comes in handy to keep things like produce out of the sun. Maybe I'll stick mine in the garage as well and just get it out for my Saturday morning trips to the farmers market.

Doesn't the quality depend on the Bitrate for the mp3? I have all mp3s on my phone and they sound great. They are all high quality encoded. I also have the infinity sound system.

That is correct of course, but the flac does not use lossy compression like the mp3 so it's one less thing to question. The feature to read the flacs is just a good thing to have if you happen to have such files.
 
The past few days I've used the remote app to turn on the AC to cool the car before entry. It appears that the car draws on the internal battery for this (as the GOM drops upon activation). It was my understanding that the car was supposed to be smart enough to precondition the car using plug power when it's plugged in. Is there a setting to make sure this happens, because it's not.
