Used a Lectron 500A, 1000V model costing $261 Canadian.
woot has these Lectron Vortex "Factory Reconditioned" ones on sale for $119 USD
Good to see the price come down to reasonable. I would expect and confirm the reconditioned units have been re-pinned with the new straight edge latch pin unlike those that were recalled back in March/April 2024.
Personally, I would still prefer however to have certification accreditation label (ULC etc) installed on any unit I would charge with.;)

I was told by a customer service rep that I should receive the email now by June 30th. Yeah I'm holding my breath. They've misled me for nearly 6 months now. We shall see.

So, six weeks after receiving my initial email from Hyundai, today I received my adapter. Nicely-built unit. Haven't tried it yet.

Strange, seems all the expected positive messages are from US owners. My dealer in Canada has no clue what is going on with this program. If I would be cynical I would say Trump has something to do with it. No trade deal, no NAC converter. But of course I may be wrong. o_O

By the time we (Canadian owners) have access to one, the Kona EV will have been discontinued.

Congratulations, I do like the quality and certification. Do let us know when you eventually try it how well it works.
When I was at the dealer checking out the Ioniq 9, I noted the CCS to NACS adaptor that ships with it has the same ratings (350A @ 1000V or ~ 140kW on a V2 Tesla 400V supercharger), pretty solid unit. ;)

Perhaps that is the plan. However, I bet there will be many ‘old’ Konas still be on the road for years.

Supercharging success using Hyundai's adapter! Using the Tesla app procedure identified in Post #78, it worked like a charm. I only charged for a few minutes but forgot to note the particulars (nothing was unusual).
Adapter is nice (but so was the Lectron and A2Z).
Kona long-distance travel will now be painless, except for the worry that too many non-Teslas will start hogging the charging stations :-)

Congratulations! For us with older Kona plus the NACS adapter - if we ever get one - overcrowding at Tesla chargers will not likely be an issue since we still have CCS connectivity to CCS chargers as an option. Best of both worlds. If I recall the new Hyundai EVs all have NACS plugs only. Those guys may have overcrowding issues. However last week I was charging at a flo charger and one of the cables was already with a NACS plug. I guess they dropped the ChaDemo plug on that unit. The next unit beside the one I was using still had ChaDemo on one of its port.
Good to see that the world is evolving.

It's starting to look to me, like drivers with ChaDemo cars are going to need (expensive) adapters soon as those plugs get phased out.

New networks in my region (eastern US) including Applegreen, iONNA, DCAmerica are all fielding chargers and stations with equal numbers of CCS and NACS plugs.

The nearest Hyundai dealer to my home has two Chargepoint stations installed, not yet powered up, but both have CCS and NACS plugs. Seems to me a ChaDemo plug would see very little if any use at a Hyundai dealer.

I also have a bunch of i-MiEVs, all with CHAdeMO ports. Have an A2Z CCS1->CHAdeMO adapter which works with the i-MiEVs.
Independently, my 2013 Tesla uses an old CHAdeMO->TeslaSupercharger adapter which I still haven't tried with the CCS1 adapter (i.e, CCS1->CHAdeMO->OldTesla). Last time I was in Canada with the Tesla I used that CHAdeMO adapter very often with Flo charging stations.

Has anybody in Canada harassed Hyundai to get an accurate time line on when the adapters will start shipping in Canada. We are planning a fall trip that would make one very handy.

I don't think they even suggested we (in Canada) might be getting the adapters. Did I miss an announcement?

Frequently Asked Questions | Hyundai Canada
"Will existing customers in Canada receive the NACS adapter for free?

North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapters will be available to Hyundai EV customers during the second half of 2025 in combination with the revamped Hyundai App. We haven’t finalized the details yet, but as always, we aim to provide Canadian customers with a convenient process and valuable product offering and we will share details directly with Canadian owners as soon as possible."

Free? I doubt it, but stranger things have happened.
I will be contacting my salesperson to arrange an exchange for the mud flaps I was supposed to get which never happened...been waiting for the announcement of the adaptor availability and/or pricing. ;)

Exactly 2 months after receiving the initial notification email, I got another today saying the adapter has been shipped.

I have yet to hear from Hyundai and have been too busy to contact them again -- also, I have no urgent need for the adapter, so I'll keep waiting.

The dealer just got one in, so I purchased it. Here is the part#

The adapter lists @ $400 CDN, but I did mange to get $75 discount in lieu of the mudflap mishap I mentioned earlier.
It is new so not yet listed as an available accessory and may not be available at all locations ...yet.
Also note the box description: CCS1 CAR to NACS... kind of backwards as the NACS to CCS1 adapter (being the normal description), in Hyundai language is the adapter for the Ioniq 9 - box description NACS CAR to CCS1... so be careful if ordering.
The adapter has accredited certification CSA c and us, weighs 1.16 kg and is a solid built unit with locks on both NACS and CCS1 sides.
I will test it later when I have some time at the local Supercharger site (obviously before 10 am or after 9 pm)

I see the one in Port Alberni is an NACS partner site with no time pricing tiers ($o.47 kWh) which will be handy when going to Tofino.;)
