Dropped my 2019 at the dealer for several issues. My trunk hatch would not raise on it's own all the way, the sensor for the headlights would not turn off the headlights during the day once I backed out of my garage, my backup camera had moisture in it making it blurry and the most important was the tapping from the motor.
They also said there was a recall that they were going to take care of. They said it was to replace a wire going to a box? That is literally what he said. Anyone know what that is?
My dealer has EV trained personnel and I was able to speak to the guy that was going to look into the motor sound. I sent him the audio clip someone else posted on here as it was the exact sound my car is making. He said he was going to send that to Kia. He took the car for a drive and said he could not hear the noise but then listened to the audio clip again and then went for a second drive and heard it.
They fortunately gave me a loner to use.
They have had the car since Feb 10th and I have not heard a word about it since.
In all honesty I am hoping that they do not fix it too quickly as I would like to get rid of it. NJ Lemon law says after 20 days I can start the process. I leased it with the idea that the technology is changing so fast I would want a new EV in 3 years so I'm not sure how that would work with the lemon law. Do they just cancel the lease? Anyone have experience with it?
