Self Driving Vacuums

  1. Maybe iRobot and Tesla should compare notes...:) Both have some ways to go before they get this right, IMO. Robot vacuums are becoming mainstream now, but they are far from perfect. At least that is what I concluded after a little pre-purchase research.

    iRobot with their Roombas have been around for a while, and are the current leaders. But lots of new challengers emerging, and I decided to give the Shark IQ a try. Costco had a deal on that was about 1/4 of the price of the top end Roomba (S9). And if we don't like it, very easy to return stuff with them.

    It a brand new product and had a few good reviews.

    Biggest challenges with these is the initial mapping out of the rooms, before they can efficiently do the job in a timely manner. Will see..., mine is supposed to arrive tomorrow.
