Ok i got in the car yesterday and used the nav, as i was going to a unfamiliar place.
Before setting destination , Gom showed 411, then when i hit start navigation, gom goes to 464.
If i check battery screen, shows whatever gom says.

  3. That is interesting! I always wondered if the gom and the Navi work together and maybe even factor in things like elevation change?

That would be awesome! The question is how to prove that.

I’m going to play around with that to see if I can prove it.

Im thinking its taking speed limits along the route into consideration. Because along that route, max road speeds were 80 or 90 km.
I tried setting it to longer prev destinations but the difference was only 6km. Because i believe it was mostly utilizing 100km speed routes.
I am going to try setting that rural route today again and see if its a big difference again.
