I went with the Swagman XTC2 2-bike hitch rack. It works well and is very sturdy! You'll need to have a hitch receiver on your Kona in order to use it.
I chose to put a removable bike rack on, since I typically cycle once a week. Mine is a Saris. It requires six straps to be secure. Takes maybe 10 minutes to install. It works well but my MPkW goes down a bit when the bike is on there.
I have a Yakima on top of the car. It works great but not cheap. Holds two rode bikes. I sometimes put the bike in the car, but I then have to remove the front wheel (as mentioned in another thread here). I got it on etrailer.com.
If you haven't done so yet. Be sure to read this thread: https://www.insideevsforum.com/community/index.php?threads/installing-a-trailer-hitch.5084/ I installed a hitch and then chose the Yakima TwoTimer. see pics in above mentioned thread.
