Hi, I bought the following for my 2018 PHEV. M1 should be 40 3/4" M3 should be 38 7/8" Baseclip BC117 should be used. What I found was, M1 is 38" M3 is 37 1/8" When it comes to the rear baseclips, sadly I found they are too short. I have attached the pics of the installation guide and the rear baseclip. I have sent support emails to Yakima too. If anyone here has installed Yakima bars before, would you please share your experience with me? Thanks a lot!
The clips are not too short. Set M1/M3 as per instructions. The pads will not sit flat on the roof like you are trying to achieve. I have a Yakima rack that I put on and off frequently. I check the M1/M3 measurements a few times a year.
