There is surely a shared code base. We all seem to be having remote climate problems.

  3. Anybody ever heard from an ICE Hyundai owner how Blue Link works for them? I'm very curious if it's an overall or just an EV issue. Having a screwy app for a few hundred people is very different from tens of thousands.

  4. Good question, I'll check with my coworker who happens to drive an ice Kona. However that might be a few days since we often have opposite schedules.

I wish there were a web site that was specific to BLUELINK -- that the developers & Hyundai actually READ and responded to. because this thing is a POC. They should be embarrassed by what it fails to deliver.

I live in British Columbia but the times on my BlueLink app are all off by 3 hours (Eastern Standard time) - anyone know how to fix this?

I have a hunch that ICE drivers rarely use bluelink

  10. I don't know. People really love remote starters.

Lol you are very welcome. Don't worry it took me a bit of trial and error to finally figure it out. Seems like there are more people that had the same issue, hopefully it helps everyone out.

Remote service preconditioning is a fail as it rarely works."Error"message is wrong as I have a default set,yet it tells me I don't have one set.WHY you need a default set is stupid.I don't want heat in the summer to turn on.The SOC information can be wrong. My app.will tell me I am not charging when I am,at the same time the app.reflects the time left to reach 100% for L2,L1!? GM Bolt My Chevrolet app.isn't great, but they can: remotely activate their hvac;hvac doesn't shut off in 10 minutes.Useless feature for any Kona electric that lives in extreme climates.

My free Plugshare app.with better consistency than Bluelink. The app.is accurately named,I am blue from cold when I can't precondition, and remove ice from the Kona.

    Hyundai customer service:
    1.tried to tell me I can't use keyless entry,or Bluelink won't work
    2. informed me to update to the latest Bluelink version. Can they not SEE I have the latest version given they have asked permission to "spy"on how I use my Kona electric?!
3.if the Bluelink app.is dormant for a few days,it goes offline

    Hyundai customer service:

    - Also told me that my vehicle didn't have the OPTIONS necessary to use BLuelink Remote. Wrong! This is the ULTIMATE & the Dealership set it all up for me before I left. In fact 1 of the big selling points. Oh, and It actually DID work later that same day ... hmmph...
    - The APP seems to toggle between MILES & Kilometers
    - The APP Times OUT about every other attempt to get status
    - REMOTE START (to turn on the HEAT in my case) Hardly EVER works. I've been successful like 3 times in 2 months.

The Developers should be taken to the shed. :)

  17. What I don't understand is that my bluelink keep pushing messages that my doors are unlocked despite me turning off all notifications and kindly telling the car I am fine with the doors being unlocked :)

  18. Did you give it a pet? I know mine is working fine if I give it a regular pet.

  19. For what its worth, the UK version of Bluelink looks completely different (based on the screen print photos posted above). Sounds like it might do more and it seems reliable so far.

  20. Not surprised that it's different.
    Can we see screenshots?

  21. Looks like that worked so here are a couple more. I think I am fairly safe revealing my precise location with the home screen, not too many clues!:

The DTE figure equates to a range of 281 miles (must remember to change the units) which seems OK given that my early trips were not very efficient as I was learning how to drive the thing and the fact that it is winter at the moment. Not that winters here are cold anymore but, plenty of rain plus lights and windscreen wiper use.
