No, blue-link is not Bluetooth based. The car has an actual sim card and is internet connected. Sent from my moto x4 using Tapatalk
As long has the car has an LTE connection and you remotely have access to the internet, you can connect to your car from anywhere.
Thanks. The brochure says there's a complimentary 5 year blue-link subscription. I guess you pay afterwards. Any idea which carrier it uses (Rogers, Bell, Telus)?
Since the map update, I've been getting nagged about the doors being unlocked. I can't see anything in the Bluelink app notification settings that controls this behaviour. Anyone have any idea how to turn it off?
I’m getting that message too now I have the map update. So I guess there were some software changes too. I don’t mind being reminded I left the doors unlocked.
When I first used Bluelink the doors were locked but they showed on the app as unlocked. A simple lock doors command from the app seemed to fix it.
With the updated map, bluelink sends a notification that the doors are unlocked (when they are), without going into the app itself.
That's actually a cool feature in case you forget to lock it. It first sounded like it was a bug and sent the notification even when it's locked. Sent from my moto x4 using Tapatalk
The car warns you if you leave the sunroof open when you turn it off! You might be able to crawl in a sunroof electriceddy, but I don't think I could
I think that's correct. https://mobilesyrup.com/2017/06/08/hyundais-bluelink-vehicle-service-comes-canada/
Pretty interesting. I was comparing your numbers to mine. Very different. What's your typical GOM range?
Look under the screen on the screen pedestal. You will see a little door at the exact centre of the black plastic. It pops off revealing the card.
I picked up a 10 inch long right angle USB c connector to replace my standard cord. Man, does it work great. My previously crowded Pixel 3 XL has tonnes of room in the charging bay now and there's no more danger of the cord wearing out as there was with the standard "straight" connector. I highly recommend it.
