It looks good but are they bringing it to the US? From the recent spy shots, it looks like a subcompact 5 door hatchback.

Did you hear about the 2020 Soul EV? Very good specs and hopefully be around $37,500. Kia's quality and reliability have improved a lot in the last decade.

Honda has said they are planning to sell the subcompact 5-door hatchback Urban EV in Europe in 2019 and Japan in 2020. Sage Marie, Honda's Assistant Vice President, Public Relations, has said the car will not be coming to the US. Honda's attitude is not surprising after yesterday's groundswell of enthusiasm following the unveiling of Honda's 2nd largest SUV, the Passport. Honda doesn't believe US buyers would embrace a subcompact car. Honda sold 3,172 Fits in October, 2017, but last month they sold only 920 Fits.

IMO, if the Urban EV is anywhere near as cute as the Urban EV Concept (still TBD), this car would outsell the Leaf and Bolt even if it didn't match the range of those 2 EVs. Not only would the Urban EV make for a stylish city runabout, but it would be a great car to tow behind an RV for excursions from the campground. To make the Urban EV popular in the US, Honda should leave them around Hollywood/Bel Air neighborhoods--like Bird scooters--to have people seeing celebrities driving them.

I'm completely enamored with the Urban EV and keep writing letters to Honda, begging them to bring it to North America. I bought this $200 scale model of the Urban EV Concept, which just arrived from Switzerland:

Has anyone else seen this ridiculous review of the Clarity by Andrew Ganz?

    https://www.digitaltrends.com/users/andrew-ganz/

    So many absurd statements like

"the Honda Accord Hybrid’s 48 mpg combined makes the Clarity a tough sell"
At $37,530, our test car is a decent value, though Honda’s own Accord hybrid strikes a sweeter spot for those who aren’t insistent on a tailpipe emissions-free commute.

Duh-.Does he not know that after rebates the Clarity is cheaper by a lot than the Accord Hybrid. And he basically adds nothing in value to be able to drive all EV most of the time.

He actually implies the Prius is a better value

The Toyota Prius Prime offers about 25 miles of electric-only range, which is offset at least in part by a 54 mpg combined rating from the EPA, and a list price that’s about $5,000 less than an equivalent Clarity.

Duh- you get half the car in a Prius.

Then he complains about the size, but recommends the Accord which is essentially the same!

If your commute is less than 50 miles, you’ve got enough room to park the nearly 193-inch-long sedan, and cargo space isn’t essential, it’s not a bad choice.

I can't find a place for comments, but I am tempted to write to Digital Trends to ask for space to refute his review.

Unfair car reviews are so common, I only reply if I can make a joke.

It's like fake news. They come across as serious but as you read through, you see how rediculous it is. But they accomplished thier goal. You read it and saw all the ads.

Seeing an ad is not 'buying' the ad. Perhaps a complaint to the advertiser about how their brand is being affected by the false review.

Pic and choose your battles. Even this forum has those pesky ads. Just saying they review seemed disingenuous. Like a troll to suck you in.
